What I love about this study is that it addresses the very fear most people have regarding facial training. Sorry to say; so many people today are still under the impression that if you stretch the skin around the eyes etc the skin will sag... several years ago it was almost impossible to convince anyone otherwise. FACT: Any breakage in worn-out tissue (elastin, collagen, muscle fiber) comes back stronger and thicker (challenge it or lose it!)
BTW the article questions whether men would get the same responce...

As for whether men or perhaps younger women might achieve a similar benefit, Alalm said, "we would expect to see an effect. But until we study it we won't know if is a little more or a little less."

I can tell you from experience (39 yrs)... men get the same results but much sooner They simply weren't raised being told not to touch their face, so no fear... they simply go for broke. Great article! Thanks |

I'm guessing this is the Happy Face Yoga program, but its impressive none the less. 32 facial exercises daily, for about a half hour in total isn't that much and its worth if it if it turns back the clock in my book but its not much (only 3 years). I'm partly skeptical - as I'd love to see them do a proper study on resistance based exercises as to me they really do take things up another notch. |
