| I am Asian and was born with a single eye lid. I am considering eye lid surgery in Hong Kong. Any thoughts on what is the best way to get a double line? I have heard of laser surgery for the eye lid too. Does anyone know the price or recommendation for doctors? Recovery time? Disadvantages? I am currently using eye lid glue. This works well for me but would like something more permanent. Please share your experiences and thoughts.. thanks! |

If you Google Asian blepharoplasty, then click images, you should come up with lots of photos and links to physicians who specialize. If you don't click images, you'll still most likely come up with quite a few links with info.
I'm saving for an upper bleph but am not Asian. My procedure will be around $2000 here in the USA--at least I hope it's not more than that!  |

Get comments from people who had surgery from the doctor you use. I had a cyst on one eyelid and had both fixed (would have looked funny with one tight eye).
Insurance would only pay for one. I am pleased with the results though I know people who had bad experiences. After about a year I still have a small white bumpy line on one eyelid but the shape and all looks natural.
I used a silicone based scar cream.

| Be careful with this! I've had a couple of friends who've done this procedure (they are Korean) and it did not turn out so well for them. It does not suit them very well and doesn't look natural for them at all. They had their surgery done in Korea. Just make sure it will be suitable for your eye shape and face shape before you do it! |
