What’s the best way to cover up skin concerns, such as wrinkles, with makeup? |

I don't believe you can cover up wrinkles..I think the more you try to cover them the more obvious they become.
Some primers and blurrers may help but mostly they don't.
I do think you can mostly repair fine lines with things like Retin a, peels, Light therapy and micro-current...but deeper lines are usually caused from expression or sag and I think you have to alleviate the cause before you can alleviate the symptom
Usually the sagging is more aging then the lines anyway.
If you're not up for fillers or Drs you might want to consider dermarolling, peels, Retin A along with things like facial exercises, microcurrent, radio frequency etc.
Even if you can't make something totally go away you can always make it better. |

I believe in natural treatments for anti-aging so my replies will always talk about natural ways to treat any kind of skin condition, whether it is some skin disease or whether it is signs of aging. I believe that you should give some of your time in reading this to learn more about natural treatment of wrinkles: https://bit.ly/2GIhXkR |

Hey Stephenlopez
would like to thank you for this article. It's very interesting to read this.
Even I believe that the best way to recover from the skin concerns is natural treatments except for makeup. |

I'm of the same opinion re covering wrinkles up, but I also like to point out that I was late in coming onto things like massage and face exercises (although I've used Retin A since my 20's with the same derm - God please make it so that this guy never retires because he is a godsend). However, I do think that the right makeup can enhance features too and make wrinkles less noticeable and apparent.

Covering can't change the quality of skin. We should find ways to change the skin. I hope you can find cosmetics that are helpful to your skin. |

I was a makeup artist for Lancome and here are my suggestions:
Use a sheen overage all over including on/ over the wrinkles. Where you might need more coverage, use a slightly heavier foundation or even a concealer, but NOT on the wrinkles. Do not use matt formulations.
AVOID makeup and colours that not glittery or shiny, especially on crepey eyelids.
A light dusting of translucent power to "set" the foundation/ concealer applied with a large brush.
Focus on your good features (eg mascara if you still have great lashes, BUY THE BEST ONE. Lip liner if you have good lips)
Always frame your face well with tidy eye brows and eye brow pencil that's one shade lighter that your natural hair colour.
If you have turkey neck, wear a silk scarf. Put away your pearl necklace forever!
I hope the above assists. |
