I've got the Cerave PM skin cream. It supposedly
has 4% Niacin. I'd like 5 or 6%. I'm got some
niacinamide powder and want to add some. I can't
find a recipe anywhere regarding amount to add to
creams, only as a serum. Does anyone have any
idea?
Thanks |

Niaciamide works well in 4% concentration - if you want to add more niaciamide to ready product just dilute it with a little amount of distilled or floral water and add (mixing in with clean spatula)If something happens to consistency of the product you can carefuly warm up the mixture and stir again- it should be ok. I suggest that you prepare small(1 week) batch and keep it in the fridge.
I hope that my math is correct:
6% concotion: 1/6 tsp. powder 1 tsp. distilled water 4 tsp. cream 4% |

Definitely not more than 5% to avoid skin irritations. 3-4% is optimal.
Great idea with dissolving it floral water-I will try chamomile or rose. |
