the last time i had short hair i went to a chinese haircutter at the local asian mall cuz i thought they knew asian hair better. but he decided to give me this ugly fob hair with like strands 4 inches longer than the rest! PLUS he thinned it out so you can see my scalp. i want to cut it short...but i dunno. if i do i'm going to some crazy italian guy who does it right.

Thanks for sharing your pics! You have very aqualine features and nice length to your face, You do look great with short hair as it shows off your very fawn-like jawline....If I were you, I'd consider a little more "movement" or visible whispy-ness around the sides of your face...you could easily carry it off given your long lines... Very Happy

Although I'm generally a fan of longer hair, I think you look lovely with the shorter style. It's also just a little bit edgy without being "out there" - also a feature that I really like....

I love the wispy bits on the shorter style it really suits you. Your skin is amazing and the short style enhances your features.

I’m one of the few out there who believes that nearly every woman would look better with short(er) hair. It can quickly update your look and shave years off of your age! Of course, the key with short hair is getting the right cut and going to a stylist who knows who to cut short hair (i.e.: a stylist who is skilled with razor-cutting and using texturing scissors) to ensure that your hair has lots of interior movement so it doesn’t just lay there like “bowl” haircut or the old “Dutch-buy” haircut.

You’ve got a beautiful face and really great features for short hair. You haven’t told us how long your hair is right now, so this suggestion may or may not be feasible: you have full lips and really great cheekbones so I’m wondering if a chin-length, choppy, layered “bob” haircut with "shattered" ends that is sort of point-cut so that it angles toward your face to really highlight and emphasize your sexy mouth and killer cheekbones!! Haircuts are so hard to explain without the benefit of "visual aids" (that's why if you're going to the salon for a radical change, you need to bring a picture of the cut you have in mind so your stylist knows exactly the look you're after so there's no room for miscommunication). I have a ton of hairstyling magazines and I provide hair style "consultations" for my friends and coworkers, so I wish you were here so I could show you a picture of exactly what I had in mind...I tried googling for some photos and this is the best I could come up with: http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip1489.htm (I'm envisioning you with the cut depicted in photos #1, 4 and 5).

Anyway, even if you don't go for the particular haircut that I suggested, I definitely think that some type of short hair style is going to be your best bet to really show off your lovely facial features. I think on you that long hair will just "overwhelm" your features (so that the hair is wearing *you,* rather than you wearing the haircut)...either that, or it will just turn you into another pretty girl with so-so hair (Think: singer/actress Mandy Moore back when she had long, blonde "Britney/Jessica Simpson" hair...she was just another face in the crowd whom nobody really paid much attention to, then she went brunette and cut her hair short and suddenly everyone realized what a lovely, fresh-faced beauty she was).

HTH,
Carrie

I like your hair in the first two pictures Very Happy . It really shows off your wonderful bone structure!!! In the last two photos you hair looks heavy and takes away from your good looking face.

I would also keep your hair short but grow it about an inch so the hairdresser can put lots of choppy layers in.
You really do have some lovely, sharp features Smile

Another one for the short vote, the first picture is pretty stunning of you. The best thing with hair however is it always grows back and its only a matter of weeks before you can correct anything you dont like.

I like the last photo best, kinda EMO-looking, but I've often preferred longer hair (geriatric hippie here). I even like ponytails on men, if they're styled attractively. So many guys have really really short hair these days, if they have any at all. They look like Basic Training recruits. I don't get it, unless they're dealing with baldness issues. The shorter the haircut, the better the stylist should be. You have a great face and would probably look good with very very short hair, if it's styled in a choppy/messy way, using gel or wax. But, in my opinion, Asian hair is so enviable, why not flaunt it with a longer length? That guy at the mall isn't very skilled and should've paid YOU -- are you sure he isn't vision-impaired as well??

i think i'm gonna go with short. but something chunky and longish.

i dunno..it seems that i look better with short hair in photos, but i dont really like it in person. it somehow manages to make me look like a girl :P
