Hi all I'm a self confessed exfoliant addict and I just wanted to hear your opinions on the best exfoliants out there. I have sensitive skin so can't use anything too gritty. At the moment I'm using Dermalogica's microfoliant but want to get something to use once or twice a week as an extra. Something minty would be nice, I like that fresh feeling!! Any ideas? (They don't all have to be minty!!). Thanks guys!! |

Everyone's going to suggest the Dr H cleansing cream which should be fine for your sensitive skin. I also believe too much exfoliating does your skin more harm than good as you slough off the new skin as well as the old and can make it more sensitive and blotchy, so a gentle mask might be a good idea instead. Decleor do some nice masks. |

I think if you have sensitive skin then using Microfoliant daily should be plenty for you in terms of exfoliation. If you do want to use something else then make sure that you drop off the Microfoliant a bit at the same time.
I can't think of anything minty off the top of my head but I can suggest Peter Thomas Roth Botanical Buffing Beads scrub. It's very gentle but feels great on the skin (like massage!). The Dr Hauschka cleansing cream is good but I would recommend this more if you wanted to use it regularly rather than just once or twice a week. It is a very gentle exfoliant and when used regularly it's fantastic at clearing out the pores.... |

Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion in a Jar is leaves your skin feeling fresh. It is not minty, but grapefruit, I think. I agree with Masby and Sarah though. You don't need 2 exfoliants a day, so I would not use the Microfoliant on the days you use another exfoliant. |

Origins has a gentle dermabrasion product called "Modern Friction." I love it. My skin is actually shiney after I use it. I only use it a couple of times a week on my sensitive skin. It has a fresh citrus smell. I dug through my cabinet and found a mask by Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque. I use it on my nose for large pores. I believe that I picked it up at WalMart-cheap!! It is minty |

Thalgo Exfoliant Cream Pure Radiance has menthol in it, so it feels minty on your skin. Not sure if that is what you were after? It is aimed at normal or combination skin- I don't have any, but my last facial was a Thalgo one and she used it there- was fantastic and maybe will buy when my current ones run out.
Hope this helps a bit

I use CSRx Polishing Grains. They are very fine powdered azuki beans. They aren't gritty but definitely get the job done in terms of exfoliation. You could add them to some minty cleanser and you would then have a minty exfoliating cleanser. |

Thanks guys! I'll keep those in mind to try maybe once or twice a week on the days I don't use microfoliant |
