I remember reading a discussion on here before about when was the best time to use your Vitamin C serum. From what I can remember most people seemed to think that it would be more beneficial to use it in the morning rather than in the evening.
I've just received my Vivier serum but I'm finding it difficult to apply my moisturiser (Decleor Hydra Floral Emulsion) and make-up over the top. Not sure why but when I apply my moisturiser over the top it seems to roll off in little bits. Then, when I try to apply my mineral make-up it doesn't apply smoothly.
I was hoping that I could use my Vivier serum at night to avoid this problem. Would I really be missing out on major benefits if I don't use the serum in the morning? |

I think it will be okay if you use it at night. The half life of vit C is 72 hours, so once it is fully absorbed you should be able to maintain the benefits of free radical protection for that period of time. This is just my opinion...not sure if it is correct though... |

It is fine to apply your vitamin C serum at night. Faith is correct in that it remains active in the skin for 72 hours, also there was a recent study done at the University of Taipei that found using it at night stimulated more collagen production than using it in the day time. So you're safe! I use mine at night also, and have seen dramatic results. |

Thank you!
Glad to hear that I can use it at night and still get the benefits. Besides, I'm already using so many different products on my face in the mornings that it will save me more time if I can use the serum at night. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |
