The burning should not be too uncomfortable and should go after a week or so of use. If it is really bad, apply to slightly damp face or only use every other day til your skin gets used to it. Trust me using C serums is a really good move
The b5 gel is lovely afterwards, but you may also like to try using relaxaline instead. It has the Hyaluronic Acid and also agireline which helps relax wrinkles. Make sure you use moisturiser and sunscreen as well.

When I first started using vitamin C serum, I also went with SC's 10%. It did sting a little at first (especially if I applied it right after exfoliating my face). But after 2 weeks, the stinging sensation went away, and I am now using SC's C+E (it has 15% vitamin C).

the stinging is temporary. If you have open sores though it will HURT!! Don't pick at zits before putting this stuff on...ouch!! |

When I first started with Skinceuticals 10 I also had some minor stinging/burning but I think it went away after a few days. I think you should use it for a bit and then decide based on what your skin feels like if you need to add the B5 gel or not. I have normal skin and I would use it over the Skinceuticals serums (they tend to be more watery and leave my face a bit tight) but not over the Vivier serums (which have a different texture and are not as drying). |
