Hi All
I have a recipe book for smoothies, but unfotunately the quantities are in 'cups'...
How do I convert this to dry weight? so for instance, what would the weight in oz be for a cup of rasberries??
Failing this where can I get something that measures a 'cup'!!
Sorry to sound dim, but the recipes are great, just want to get the quatities correct!

Hi Faith
thanks for the link, but it only gives US cups to liquid oz not dry oz. It does give US cup to tablespoon, so I could work it out from there, but it's much more time consuming.
I think it would be better if I can find something that measures US cups!
Thanks for your help anyway

Yah - I have managed to find a set of US measuring cups in one of our local hardware stores - should have thought of that first!!

you're right with the fruit, but I shall still get some measuring cups so that I can make other recipes that have american measures

Just for future info' - You could have used a normal tea cup - as long as you use the same cup throughout the % quantities in comparison to each other would still be correct so it will still work! (Assuming the whole recipe was in 'cups'!) |

Hi Cheeks,
Hope your smoothies came out well!
I've had this same problem with the British recipes that I've tried where everything is listed in grams. Ended up having to get a scale. |
