I started using Dr H CC last saturday and since then my skin is more congested and breakouts are flaring up. i'm sure that it is due to the CC. my skin is prone to breakout due to the time of the month but i always get 3 random red bumps but this time i've like 10 and spread out over my face and even whiteheads (which i usually never have!) kind of scary.my skin is oily to combo and breakout prone and i'm asian.
is this normal? as i read how the skin needs to adjust etc to new products. my skin regimen is
am:
brightening cleanser DDF
dermalogica microexfoliant
tea tree toner from LUSH
ylang ylang oil
hydra mat decleor
neutrogena spf 30 (i've used it well before DrH CC so i know it's not the cause)
pm:
Dr H CC
toner: Apple cider vinegar with tea tree oil in it
ylang ylang balm
and sometimes clinique total turn around cream
I am debating whether to drop the DrH CC but since I bought two tubes after reading the ravings.. ugh..
decleor was doing a fine job of eliminating my blackheads and now it seems that everything is to start again.. argh. so many bumps and pimples
thanks |

I think it could just be purging your skin. Have you changed anything else recently?
If it turns out you don't like the Dr H CC, I am sure someone will buy it off you! Don't worry about it yet |

cherbearvx, sorry to hear about your breakouts. My skin went a bit crazy when I started using Dr H (I even got cystic acne on my chin which I NEVER had before) but it has cleared up and now my skin is better than ever and "under control". I would say hang on in there if you can. As faith says, it could just be your skin purging. Good luck!
ps I've just spotted you are using Microfoliant in the morning. I think this might be a little bit overkill with the exfoliation. Also Dr H recommends not using a moisturiser at night to allow all the toxins to come out. Oh dear, I'm probably not being much help. I'll shut up now! |

I also think your skin is purging. But, what a nightmare. About a month ago I also broke out with whiteheads on my chin. Don't think I have had a pimple since I was in my thirties. I dabbed a little Neutrogena's pore refining lotion (glycolic acid) with a Q Tip on the blemishes two times a day and they did clear up. I also use Dr. H's cleansing cream. I see you use a toner. Be sure to tone after the cleansing cream.
Good luck,
Winnie |

Every time I change products I break out for about 2 weeks. Just spot treat as they come up, and hopefully you won't be too self-conscious! It will get better |
