Hi I'm after a bit of advice.

I'd like to treat my mother to some new skincare products, the problem is unlike me she is not a product-a-holic and I have to nag to get her to use anything on a regular basis. It's not that she doesn't like using them but she is often pressed for time and misses out.
Confused

So I'm after a quick routine, minimal products, maximum effect for a 55-year old (smoker), dehydrated skin, with some loss of skin tone and puffiness round the eyes.

Any suggestions ladies?

well, as far as quick goes, she could do a lot worse than stri-vectin. I use it with C serum, but started it on it's own and saw results in 5 days or so. but it doesn't have a sunscreen. If you could persuede her to use C serum then stri-vectin and a good sunscreen on top, that may do the trick. SV is a good choice for someone not into skincare as it comes in a big tube that looks v basic and it's quite moisturising, even on its own. why not email one of the astheticians?

I would suggest vitamin C but she might have to use B5 gel with that, or something more moisturising that she usually uses. Do you think that would be a problem? Would she use a serum?

I agree. A C serum would do wonders - especially since she smokes. It will absorb quickly and then she will have some protection against the smoke, UV light, etc. Sunscreen with an AHA would be my next vote but if she is pressed for time, I vote for the C.
