I have so far tried both the medium-too dark and orangy, and the light-too light settled into my fine lines and seemed to draw attention to them
Also seemed to be quite greasy and took awhile to sink into my skin. Not sure if that is the tint or the SPF. I never where makeup so it felt pretty heavy on my skin
Anyone tried the Sheer Moisture without tint Not sure if I want to commit to the large size tube. May try the Solar Booster mixed in with the Skin Smoothing Cream.
Anyone else have any comments |

Anyone
I tried LRP Anthelios Lait SPF45 this am (bought it for my boyfriend). It is ok but pretty heavy duty, would only use if it was going to be a scorcher outside Found it took toooo long to sink in and my skin really doesn't like titanium dioxide.
Not sure what to try next, too many options
Murad? Dermalogica Sheer Moisture? Dermalogica Solar Booster? |

Have you tried Dr. Dennis Gross's tinted moisturizer? It's pretty nice. I also love tarte Smooth Operator. It is a tinted moisturizer with an SPF of 20 and it actually gives decent coverage. It doesn't break me out, either. It comes in various shades and I find a match in a couple different colors. |

Thanks for the reply....glad someone is out there
I really think I am going to stay away from anything tinted, probably I would just have to get used to it but it just feels too much like a thick layer of makeup that won't let my skin breathe |

I haven't tried any of the brands you mentioned, but I LOVE Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer.
The only problem is that my skin's been so bad lately that I have quite a few acne scars that aren't covered any longer by the tinted moisturizer. So I've been trying to try to find a heavier foundation, but I really miss the tinted moisturizer.
Good luck finding something that works for you. |

Hiya!
Hmmm..something not tinted to even out the skin? How about one of those color correctors/primers? Colorscience makes a great one that evens out redness in the skin. I think it has SPF(not sure, though, and it may be low if it does). EL also makes them in yellow, purple(I think) and another color correcting color. Another item I used before was Kiss Me Sunkiller PA SPF50+++, it is sold in Asia, but it is a sunblock with mattifiers in it that seem to make my face look smoother and more finished. It also has this cooling effect upon application--very cool. lol. Not sure if this is what you are looking for, though. How about trying a mineral foundation? They have a natural SPF in them and you can apply them sheerly or build it up for more covereage. It doesn't feel like you have makeup since it lets your face breathe. |

If you want something untinted to even out skin tone then YSL makes some very good complexion enhancers in various shades (depending on what you want to do, e.g. reduce redness etc).
For tinted products, I really like Tarte Smooth Operator. However, if you have some loose mineral makeup powder then you could just mix that with your moisturiser or use something like Dr Hauschka Bronzing Concentrate as an addition into your moisturiser. |

I think that it is really funny how everyone's skin reacts to different products. I have somewhat oily skin and I find this to be a great light daily moisturizer. |

Agree with you on that one - I used it when my skin was in it's combo and normal phases and found it to be nice and light - just right! |

I always wanted to try Tarte, but agian coosing a color is really hard. I've narrowed it down to 2-veil & incognito, mainly because I have yellow undertones and the discriptions for the other are pink undertones. Veil may be a little light. If anyone knows Armani, I'm 5.5. Any help on which one I should choose? Thanks |

Sorry, I have not had the pleasure of trying the GA makeup - it's not stocked in Brisbane and I also did not find it in San Diego while I was there. I'm an NW20 in MAC (if that tells you anything) and I use Tarte in Veil. Apparently the Tarte colors run a bit light btw. |

I am a huge fan of tinted moisturizer, since mineral make-up for me was too drying and made my face look older and crepey!! I'm still trying to get rid of new lines that formed after trying BE, Jane Iredale, Pure Luxe, etc. etc.
I totally love the Stila tinted moisturizers! The colors are wonderful and they aren't too drying on your skin. Dennis Gross's tinted moisturizer is wonderful, too, but for me the lightest shade is too dark (I am really fair!!). I currently use Stila's lightest. Good Luck!! |

I've tried Stila's but have unfortunately found it too thick and ended up giving it away. Btw, if you like tinted moisturisers and still have some mineral makeup left then try mixing in some of the powder into your normal moisturiser --> instant tinted moisturiser |

Gee Mabsy, I wish I knew you when you were giving all of that Stila away!!
I might try your suggestion about mixing Minerals with a moisturizer. There are some mineral products I still love and use: Bare Essentuals Radiance as well as their Brush Conditioning Shampoo (and I just bought their Sorbet blush today), Jane Iredale's Handi Brush & Pure Luxe's Line Eraser (amazing!!). It's all of the foundations that were too drying and maximized my already-large pores. |

Hi Mabsy,
I would love to know what the different colours of the YSL complexion enhancer do? Like i am thinking about #2,3 or 4,, but the makeup counter lady doesn't provide much help, haha maybe you could help me out? I am mostly looking for an even tone for my skin and just glowy, not shiny, i don't like glitter on my face either, thanks! |

Have a look at the Dr Hauschka Bronze Concentrate, you can mix this into your favouate moisturiser for a more even skin tone and it gives you that nice healthty look to your skin. |

I'm not too sure but I think #1 (the purplish one) is to tone down redness, #4 is also a tone correcting shade. #5 and #6 are almost like a bronzer shade I think or maybe to even out darker skin tones? #2 and #3 are highlighters and generally the ones that you'd use to get a nice "glow". My skin is pretty light (NW20) and I use #2 to get that "glowy" look without tacky glitter |
