What causes bumps on upper arms, and is it possible to remove them. If so, what do I need to do?
Thanks, |

I'm not 100% sure but I've been told it's fatty deposits... sounds kind of gross hey. I have them too and I've found the best way to get rid of them is exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate! Or else, I have this lotion called "In Grow Go" (to prevent in-grown hairs after waxing) and I've found that it helps too (I assume it's the salycilic acid in it so basically just another type of exofoliant). |

Thanks princesita, where do you buy "In Grow Go" lotion?
And what is the name of another exfoliator used for the body? |

It is called keratosis pilaris. If you go to .http://www.dermadoctor.com. and click on articles, there is a good one regarding KP. Exfoliation and moisturizing has helped with mine. |

I just got it at the pharmacy, it's about AU$25. I'm sure you could get a body wash or something at the supermarket that does the same thing. Just look for something with salycilic acid. Or you could just use a loafah with a regular body wash. I just use the in-grow stuff cos I already have it at home. |

I've heard someone on this board say that Retin A on the bumps worked for her. She'd tried all sorts of things, and just said "what the heck, might as well try" and got a nice surprise. |

I have the same condition and I heard that you should moisturize.... I noticed now that the condition has lessened since my teens (I am 32)....
not sure if that helps |
