I was shopping with a friend at Victoria's Secret recently, and I noticed they have a line of hair care products called "So Sexy". My friend said she had bought the straightening gel and that it was really nice.
I thought, what the heck... because I'm almost as much of a hair product junkie as I am a lip liner/lipstick junkie. I normally only use salon brand hair products and so I didn't expect a lot from a line of hair care stuff from a lingerie store... but boy was I wrong! I bought a volumizing mousse, a clarifying shampoo, the straightening gel and a small trial size of balancing conditioner.
Those products are the sweetest smelling, most silky-feeling things I've ever used, and they are leaving my hair in *great* condition! My hair is thinning and very naturally curly and the mouse is doing wonders for the volume. The best part is... they weren't even very expensive. 9.50 U.S. for pretty large amounts... plus they have a lot of trial sized things to try at about 3.00 U.S. each. I think I have found my new line of hair care products for good! |

sounds cool! I'll have to try it next time I make an order.
It'll be hard to part with my nioxin though, it's made a real difference in my thinning hair. Even my boyfriend noticed! |

What's with the thinning hair? I lost a lot of my volume in my early to mid twenties. I would take a shower and tons of hair would fall out. Why does that happen?? |

no idea. I've always had really fine 'baby like' hair...but in the past 5 years it's gotten quite fragile. It falls out super easily and breaks off a lot around my forehead... |

I don't know either.... I used to always have very thick hair, but in my early twenties it started thinning out and getting very fragile. I used to color it all the time (a dark auburn color), and I thought that might attribute to the thinning out, but I really think it was stress and hormones or something.
I used to use Nioxin shampoo also. It was wonderful... I think it really did help. Once my hair got back to a decent thickness, I started using other regular shampoos. Who knows ... I may eventually start using it again.

I, too, have been experiencing thinning and falling hair during shower. I also felt that it is due to coloring my hair..still looking for the answer on this one if it is or if it is hormone and/or stress too.
Anyway, which Nioxine line are you using? I'm using with the one chemically treated hair since I color my hair almost every other month. I've also used 2 small bottles of their treatment as well...
Not sure about the shampoo/conditioner, but the treatment feels its working...
At the moment, I'm using shampoo/conditoner with EMU Oil in it from this website:
Healthy Hair Plus . And so far I see less hair falling during shower/shampooing...
Hope this line is the answer... I'm really concern on the thinning and the falling hair... |

I'm using the protectives (coloured hair) cleanser and scalp therapy conditioner. I haven't tried the treatments yet...my hair isn't quite that bad yet.
I actually started the nioxin because I get nasty nasty breakouts in my scalp, which are pretty much gone now. The increased fullness and new growth is great too... |
