Hello,
I have been using JI Circle Delete for a while now and I am pretty happy with it except that it makes the undereye area very dry. I do mositurize a lot aound my eyes, but the dryness persists.
Are there other Concealers for dark circles that dont dehyadrate the skin that you can recomend?
Thanks!

Aga,
You could try YSL Touche Eclat, it a light reflector though as opposed to a pigment concealer but its very effective and doesn't cake or dry out. |

Hi Lucia,
Would this product work well for covering up darkness around the eyes though?
THX!

You can also try Cle De Peau's concealer. Not sure if it is easy to obtain though. |

Aga, its funny you should say that the Circle Delete is drying on you - for me I find it far too greasy! I'm sorry I don't have any recs - I'm still searching for my HG - but I can say that the Touche Eclait was disappointing for me. It did not cover up (my) circles, it just highlights. |

YSL Touche Eclat is more for hiliting, not enough coverage for dark circles. I like JI circle delete and I am dry under my eyes but not having any issues with JI.
Lancome come has one that I think comes in a wand? Mat..something, that covers and stay hydrated, MAC moistureblend concealer, Colortrations by colortration.com, Joe Blasco, Blue Blocker by silkskin.com. You might need two products, one to cover circles and one to hilite like YSL. |

Laura Mercier has a gorgeous concealer - not drying at all (not the pans..the one that comes in a little pot)...fabulous with the LM Secret Brightening Powder over top...you'd think it would be drying with the finishing powder but not at all - really top notch in my books!

I'm surprised to hear that it's too drying for you - I would have never thought that it would be possible but there you go! It's nice and creamy on my normal skin.
Have you tried the MAC moisturecover concealer? I tried it the other day and ended up buying it. It seemed really nice when I tested it (not that I'm unhappy with my JI which I love to bits, but you know how it is when you go shopping and have an enabler with you.... ) but I have not tried it since I bought it. |

I've been eyeing that MAC concealer..a thumbs up from Mabsy means I'm going to have to pick it up (sigh..) Mabsy - how would you compare it to the JI C Delete?

My current faves for undereye circles are YSL Touche Eclat (more of a highlighter/illuminator) and TheBalm's Time Balm.
TheBalm is best overall, neither greasy nor dry and it's especially good when you have serious circles going on. The YSL is great when I'm more rested and want to brighten the area up abit. |

Sorry to add to your list
I'll have to get back to you with a proper comparison over the weekend. I still haven't used it since I actually bought it (I have a whole bag of MAC sitting in my room still all packed up ). I had the SA put some on me though and it did a good job (and I had MANY late nights in SD) and felt nice around the eye area. I think the JI is creamier from memory but I didn't travel with the JI one so I couldn't compare on the same day.
I'll get back to you shortly |
