Has anyone used/heard abt using Jojoba Oil to promote healthy, long hair? I've heard rosemary oil is good, too - but I dont know anyone who has used these personally. Any thots on how to use and where to get these? |

I love jojoba oil for scalp and hair. When mine starts getting dry/flaky, just generally acting up, one night of putting jojoba oil on my hands and really massaging it in seems to do the trick. Pureology brand hair products use both oils in their products, too. They are 100% Vegan and just amazing! |

Hi there~
I think both are good for the scalp and hair. I use a great product from Weleda(Rosemary hair oil). I was skeptical of putting oil in my hair since it is so fine, but I really like this one. It leaves my hair feeling so soft, with lots of body, not oily at all. I only use a small amount too. |

I've used jojoba oil as a hot oil treatment for my scalp and hair. It was very nice, would recommend it. |

I've used jojoba oil just by itself as a conditioner for my hair. It is awesome. I believe that rosemary oil is also good.
You can purchase bothwww.personalformulator.com |

I have used jojoba on the scalp and rosemary is good for oilier/dandruff conditions but my favourite it to use coconut oil, if you can get the solid and melt it rather than the fractionised (sp?) version or use monoi oil. It always leaves my hair full and glossy..if any here uses henna it gives it that kind of shine. |

I use a henna shampoo(clear color, by Aubrey) and it is pretty nice. It can be a little drying for me though so I am sure to use a good conditioner. Adding a few drops of jojoba oil can help. I actually have the solid coconut oil in my cupboard. I'll have to try that next time I deep condition. Thanks! |

Thank you so much! I bought and tried some yesterday, and my hair looks great in spite of not using any conditioner. I think I'm going to like Jojoba.
On a different vein, I know from personal experience than both Henna and Coconut oil work wonders for your hair. I'm just wary of coconut oil becos I'll touch my face while applying it and thats enuff for me to break out . I'm not sure where we can get actual Henna leaves here, but any East Indian salon will have henna applications for your hair that you leave in. Makes your hair super duper shiny, and also promotes growth. |
