I'm currently using several skinceutical products, and they have worked wonders on my complexion. I was just given the SC c+e ferulic serum, and I was wondering if it is supposed to have a strong smell? I have previously used a few samples from my spa of c+aha and c+e. Both of them had a sort of brownish colow, is that normal, or does that mean they were old? the ferulic is clear, but the smell is pretty strong. the aha and the c+e also had a certain smell, but not like the ferulic. Does anyone know if this is normal? Thanks! |

My Skinceuticals CE Ferulic was light yellow when I initially opened it and has darkened only a bit, probably because I don't use it very much (too oily for my skin). I called the vendor and they said it was supposed to be that color. It does have a slight medicinal scent when opening the bottle, but I don't notice it at all once I put it on my face. Hope this helps! |

thank you. My ferulic is a bit thick, or atleast thicker than the c+e and c+aha. It is sort of like the intense line defense, both in color and thickness, but not in smell. the ferulic has a much stronger smell, sort of like campfire i know it sounds crazy, but maybe this is normal. I am just scared I was given something that is not real |

My C E Ferulic sample is a pale greenish yellow color and has a stronger scent than my other Vit.C -- kinda medicinal-smelling. |

I think the base is different with the feurlic acid one- a butyl gylcol base...hence the smell (mine was the same) |
