After reading all of these suggestions to try out Avene Emulsion SPF 60 for whenever I wear minerals, I thought I would take the plunge and buy it. However, I am not having much luck in finding it online. Any suggestions for a low price and decent shipping? |

Here are the Avene products available atwww.feelbest.com, I don't see the spf 60 emulsion but there is an mineral only spf 50. I see they aren't shipping LPR outside of Canada but I think they ship Avene anywhere. This is where I got my Avene sunscreen from and shipping was $3 CAD! That's like 50 cents US! |

I love FeelBest.com - that is a great website! Thank you so much for taking the time to post the link. However, this website does not carry the Avéne Emulsion I am looking for. I hope someone knows where I can find it? Unfortunately, eBay is no help, and though I thought I had hit the jackpot with this website (http://www.mypharmacy.com.sg/ShopFront/ProductPage.aspx?ProdSKU=848000036&CatID=288), they deliver only to Singapore. |

Darn! What's the difference between the two, besides the higher spf or is that the only difference? |

Well, it seems as far as totals go, Garden Pharmacy wins by a hair. One of the others requires a passport number. (Odd!) Mtview, thank you for posting - and I will place an order with this site tomorrow so long as I do not find a cheaper deal elsewhere. They really do get you on the shipping, don't they? LOL
Lolli: I just keep seeing a recommendation for the Emulsion, and keep hearing here on the board that it in particular works with minerals. Just wanted to try it out! Does this sunscreen sell in Canada, I wonder? |

Lolli,
Avene Emulsion 60 is a chemical and physical sunscreen with Tinsorb. The other Avene you mentioned (in the white packaging) is just a physical sunscreen. The SPF is different, as is the PPD. Chemical and phyical combined will provide the highest protection.
Sheila: where did you find this? I checked those sites and it isn't listed on the product page...or I just can't see it. |

Hi, Faith!! I was not able to find this sunscreen in I think the first link, and will say that I usually wasn't able to find it if I used the search features. (It always came up "Not Found.) So, instead, I just browsed to find it. I never trust those search features anyway. lol
I just kept my eye out for an orange bottle with either SPF 50+ or SPF 60, and made sure to look for the word "Emulsion." |

Ah, I see! I don't think we have Tinsorb products of any kind in Canada. |

I haven't tried the Emulsion. It is on my *list* though I don't find the spray sticky, but I don't know if they have an only mineral one. |

Thank you, Faith! I looked at those sites for it too but didn't find it any where but had my eye out for white packaging so I will go back and look for it again. I would love a physical sunscreen that isn't sticky! The Avene (spf 25 lotion) I use is downright greasy. Is the Emulsion less so? |

This is my question as well. Also, is it transparent, or does it leaves a white cast?
At any rate, here's the one to look for!
Also, I'm thinking about placing an order for the Avéne SPF 50+ Tint sunscreen. Is this a dark tint? (It only seems to come in one shade.)
P.S: Edited to add: This Tinted one seems to be only available in Singapore. That's unfortunate, because I want to purchase it in the same order as the Avéne Emulsion. (Seems silly just to buy one sunscreen with $20 shipping.) |

Hi - check outwww.beautytarget.com, click on Avene, then Avene Suncare: the second from the top on the LEFT is the Emulsion (called Avene Ultra High Protection IP 50+). It's called Emulsion only in the blurb, not the title. |

Oh - I forgot to mention that their tinted formulae tend to be pinkish rather than beige, from what others have said. I have some SPF50+ Creme (which is too rich for summer) and even though it's not called "tinted", it's pink in the tube. When I tried it, it *was* a teensy bit pinkish on my skin. I think this is Avene's way of addressing the whiteness of some of their products. Neither the SPF50+ Spray nor the SPF50+ Lotion/Lait I have is tinted at all. I think the thicker the formula, the whiter it looks. I don't think the Emulsion is tinted, but Bad Bird has tried it and would be able to say for sure. |

Hi, April! I did place a large order at this website earlier this afternoon, and did order the two aforementioned Avéne SPF 50 sunscreens: one tinted and one not. I am so excited about getting them - especially after all of the decent reviews the Emulsion received on MakeupAlley.com.
I am so happy I have found this website. There are some most friendly, brilliantly informed posters ever here, and you all have helped me so much. Please know that you are appreciated. |
