I'm in my early thirties now and I've always cared for my skin. My skin is very fair and a have a few fine lines around the eye area. For that reason I recently decided to do some research on anti wrinkle treatments. I selected some ingredients to prepare a special cream for getting rid of those lines that drive me nuts.
I added the following ingredients in the formula:
!0% Dmae/10% Argireline/5% Matrixyl/
5% Hyaluronic Acid/ 2% lipossomes A,E
The question is: Is my cream formula any good? |

Thanks for answering. Well, I talked to a pharmacist in order to have my cream done. The base is QSP lotion base. I don't know if QSP is a monogram in English, but I can tell you that is the most common used in Brazil. One thing I'm totally sure about is that is much cheaper to have your cream manipulated by a pharmacist than buying one at a cosmetics store.Just so you have an idea, I payed 20 dollars for 1 ounce of cream. I find that quite reasonable, don't you? |

Or you could purchase the multi lamellar cream from thepersonalformulator. It's specifically made to deliver the actives to the skin and it's much cheaper...$10 for 8oz. or $12 for 8oz. for the oil free. |

Is that for the base or for the base and all the actives? I payed twenty dollars for the whole thing. |

Wouldn't it be better to use a transdermal ingredient like aloe vera in your formula? Would a sunscreen and brightening ingredient inactivate the other ingredients and make the formula greasy?
Thepersonalformulator.com is interesting. Would be nice if they have a multitude of choices and they mix it for you (plus suggestions on necessary ingredients including an explanation why they need included to complete the formula). |

Like I said before, I did some research on some top anti aging products on the internet. Revitol is considered to be one of the best of all. At the site of revitol, they give you all the information about the actives in the cream. It's quite interesting and they explain the functions of Argireline, Matrixyl , hyaluronic acid and Dmae. Here's their site:

to be honest, I think that they have far too many fillers for the money. I think there is also a possibility with having so many different actives in one formulation that the skin gets overloaded.
That said, I disagree about the idea that dmae and agireline being incompatible. Dmae doesn't work because it tightens subcutaneous skin muscles so it wouldn't counteract agireline which does. They work in different ways and lots of formulations contain both.
If you find a product with high % of these actives post it, cos I want one. Now! |

I got my cream prepared according to my specifications and I'm very satisfied with the results so far. My lines are less visible already. I don't know how things work there, whether you need a prescription, but here in Brazil we have special drugstores that prepare customized formulas. Scroll up and see the formula I've been using. It has a high percentage of Dmae, Argireline and Matrixyl. |
