I have really dark areas under my eyes. In fact someone just commented tonight on how dark the skin under my eyes is. Someone in a shop that I used too go into regulary once said something about it too! I was wearing YSL Touche Eclat at the time, so they must be really bad.
I don't sleep well at all so I think this is the cause. I don't want to put any harsh creams etc on this area, so has anyone got any miracle cures. |

The three I have found to work are:
1. Eye Bright (cellularskinrx.com)$21
2. Peter Thomas Roth K Power Eye Rescue $95
3. Teamine by Revision $59-75
The first two are more powerful brighteners but are serums so not very moisturizing. The last one is a very nice moisturizer with green tea. The green tea is a mild brightener.
I use the Eye Bright and top it off with a lightweight moisturizer, Nivea Coq10 Eye Cream. |

If you can't sleep well and you don't address that then you might find that nothing will work well for you by itself. I had problems with dark circles (not sure what they were caused by) and what finally solved my problem was the PTR Power K cream. I agree with Betterat40 that this (and the EyeBright) are not very moisturising at all - I was using an eye cream over the PTR. I have also used the EyeBright but didn't have such problems with dark circles any more so I can't comment on how effective it is. It's nice though. Actually, I might use that under my eye cream tonight |

Sel it can be heriditary, so you may not be able to cure it. You definitely need some decent sleep though, that should make a big difference. If you don't sleep well can you address what is causing that? I cannot get to sleep without reading at night, I just am not tired unless I do so. Also Origins do some great pillow spray and bath items that can help to make you sleepy. Molton Brown do Yhan Zhi body cream and bubble bath which also help.
Liz Earle does a great Daily Eye Repair for dark circles and fine lines, and also drinking lots and lots of water helps to drain out toxins which can show there.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies.
Ive been trying these foot detox pads. They are meant to draw the toxins out from your feet So they start off being an icky brown colour after a few hours of wear. After day 6 they are supposed to be white still after use. I must have an array of toxins in my body, since I am on day 11 and the pads are coming off brown still.
Ive resorted to sleeping tablets for a week, they aren't even knocking me out effectively I might try the PTR cream. |

I have dark circles (hereditary) and don't sleep well. Even when I did in my younger years my circles were there but they do improve some when I do sleep but they never go away. I recently began using Jane Iredale's coverup. I was introduced to it by the first doctor I saw for other facial skin issues. I asked about what I can do to help them and she said really nothing. Surgery was an option but she didn't recommend it. She gave me an eye complex cream to put under there to moisturize it but it is sample and I don't know what is in it. I like it and plan to buy it. I know it has some vitaims and some natural herbs. I will find out what it is and get back to you. But the Jane for me has done the trick. I use a concealer brush and just paint it on. Lighter on the bottom and darker around the top and upper lid. Putting concealer on the top really helps to even out the way the entire eye area appears. I never did that before. I'm sure the other products recommended here are better but I've never tried anything else except Dermablend which I found too dry. Good luck to you. |

YSL is too light to help with dark circles. Colotrations by colortration.com helps, heavy concealer, but Blue Blocker by silkskin.com covers the dark color! then use the YSL. It worked great when I was black/blue under my eyes. |

Internally, dark circles can be genetic or sign of health problem (not enought rest/sleep or issue with the internal organ). You may need to check with a health specialist to get proper advice. Externally, try Henry Tianus Antioxidant Eye, Lip and Neck Serum. Have been using it for more than 2 months and found it works wonderfully on lines and dark circle. |

I've tried all three. The Eye Bright does not work for me at all. Only used PTR and Teamine for about 3 weeks now, I can minor improvement on the puffie and dark circle. But still too early to say. |

Hi, I have some dark undereye circles as well, and was wondering if anyone has used DHC EyeBright? The product sounds good, and for 15.00 US I thought it might not be too bad....here is the product description:
DHC EYE BRIGHT :
0.52 oz
Eye enlightenment. Promote healthy-looking skin around the eyes by reducing puffiness and brightening dark circles. Stimulate weary-looking eyes with depuffing caffeine, revitalizing Isodonis japonicus (a Japanese botanical), and brightening, calming licorice extract. You’ll notice a reviving, cooling, soothing sensation the moment you apply this quickly absorbed, lightweight gel. The delicate skin around your eyes has fewer oil glands and is therefore especially susceptible to dryness, so it is vital that your revitalizing treatment also hydrates. Knowing this, DHC formulated Eye Bright with rich moisturizing ingredients, including sodium hyaluronate?a superior moisture magnet?and soothing, refreshing cucumber.
To USE
After cleansing, apply a small amount evenly to eyelid and under-eye area. Press gently into skin with fingers.
Okay thanks, if you have any comments on it or if you think its worth a shot and could let me know that would be great...also if you have any other inexpensive product reccomendations that would be great too |
