I tried a sample area of microwave wax last night (I'm a wax virgin!) wasn't too painful and very effective - no bleeding but where the folicles came out I'm let with a pinkish 'dot' how long does it usually take for these marks to disappear after waxing?!

I usually wax in the evening and they're gone by morning. To help things along (and prevent ingrown hairs) I use a tea tree oil lotion after waxing |

Hi Zoe,
Those little dots are normal....broken blood vessels, and they will fade in a day or two. I get those little dots when I pull the wax off before it has totally cooled. And will sometimes get them even when the wax it cooled! |

Ooooo. What is Tendskin?? Is it available in Australia?? I use Ultrabody After Was Oil. I love it! It has Tea Tree oil, lavender oil, wheat germ oil, grapeseed oil and vitamin E.
The dots are normal and mine are usually gone in a few hours. The broken red lovebite looking spots or patches which I sometimes get on my underarms after waxing, are usually gone in 2 days.

Tendskin is a lotion for preventing post waxing/shaving rashes and ingrowns. I have found it to work well. I have also seen it in some chemists here but that was a while ago. Not sure if they still have it. IngrowGo works on a similar principle and I think is very similar in formulation (don't quote me on that though...). |
