Yo peoples, what is up ! How do you get that twinkle/sparkling in your eyes that some people have, and how do you make them look clearer . Has it to do with food or something. I mean a lots of people have dark eyes, but some of them have a twinkle in them, so that it looks clear, like there is an colour in it. Do you know what i mean? Its very simple what i mean, but i do not know how to descripe it, i think did is the best way. A have read that eating raw food can make them look clearer, but is this true, and what about the sparkling in it? Which one of you guys have sparkling eyes, tell me your secret ! |

There was a verry funny article in Glamour, or so...It said that if you would do a special massage on your eyes(was showen there)you will instandly get compliments for how sparkeling your eyes are.I found it verry funny, and cause a frind of mine wanted to visite me,ive tried it out...
As soon as i opend the door,he was staring at me like this and said that he never noticed how unbelivable sparkeling my eyes actually are...(normaly theyre not!)so i guess it works i can whrite the massage down,if you want me to!
eyebaths with for example fenneltea are a good option too.You can buy special "tubs" for it in your apotecary...
And when you laugh, your eyes will deffinatly sparkle |

Would that be lymphatic drainage massage around the eye area?
Btw, there are some eye drops that make your eyes appear whiter and more sparkly. Generally the eye drops are blue in color (has to do with filtering out the yellow I guess). Mavala Eye-Lite is one such product. |

Hi everyone. Mabsy, isnt that dangerous for your eyes, to put drops in them? Or is it ok to do it a couple times? Is it only for make the eye white to look whiter, or to give the eye itself sparkling also. Hee Sweety, I know that laughing can give sparkling also, but i would look silly if i would laugh all the time, just to get sparkling, whahaha. No serious, i want sparkling even when i not laugh, so that it can look misterious, you know ! Tell us about the massage, sound interesting! . |

Well, people use eyedrops all the time so there is nothing wrong with that and I wouldn't say it's dangerous. These eye drops don't have a sole purpose of just making your eyes brighter - they are meant for tired or irritated eyes. I actually don't like to use eyedrops so I would not be using them on a daily basis but once every so often I'd be okay with it. Problem is, as with any eyedrops, you shouldn't keep them for too long. Also, there is an ingredient in the Eye-Lite (and some of the other eye drops) that makes it not so good for long term use. Sorry, I can't for the life of me remember why and I can't find the previous post about it. |

Ok Maybse, so you do not know which eyedrops would be good? Because i read on makeupalley that mavala can make the eyes dry. Maybe visine would be better ! I have tried to look on search about eye drops, but i cant find anything. Visine was the first eye drop thing i heard about on a dutch forum, but we dont have many experience which such things here. Someone said on mua that mavala kills good bacterie in eyes or something, I dont know what she meaned, so thats why i had ask if it is safe ! What they use in eye drops, are that natural ingredients, do you know this maybe. Because to put something in eyes, cant be chemical, right? Lots of questions huh , whahaha! |

These eye drops can be dangerous to use reguarly. There was a discussion about it on a Norwegian health programme a while ago, different specialists talked about what happen to your eyes when you use them. Don't remember exactly what they said, but if you use them to often, it will just make your eyes even more red and irritated. These drops are no longer allowed sold in Norway, as it is concidered a drug and not a beauty product. |

Ok, thanks Snoops. So i have to look at another option to make my eyes look brighter, i think. But to use it a few times would do no harm, right? If you use an eye drop, how long can you see the effect, anyone? |

I really don't remember, sorry. I posted a link to the thread with the explanation on http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2560 ages ago but as you can see that particular thread no longer exists (I vaguely recall us losing some threads in a forum update ages ago and I fear that this is what happened to this one). |

My understanding is that the ingredient in those type of eye drops basically work to constrict the blood capillaries in the eye, reducing the blood flow and therefore the redness. The problem with them is that if you use them too often or for too long you are basically restricting the amount of oxygen supplied to the eye. What happens then is that when you stop using them you get rebound redness as the eye tries to recover.
So fine as a short term fix the morning after the night before but not as routine product. |

Yep, that's exactly what the specialists on that TV program said. Just couldn't remember.
Pipilover, if you decide to get one of these eye brighteners, don't get the Mavala one. You can read why here: http://www.tga.gov.au/media/2004/040902_eye.htm |

Years of sun gives the whites of your eyes a yellow tint. Sun glasses are really important to keep the whites of your eyes bright.
IMO your mood effects that sparkle. My dad died very young and I went though a period of depression. My eyes are green but when I was going though this mourning and depression my eye color just looked flat. No one would have looked at me and commented on my green eyes. They looked more gray.
Stress reduction and a light heart brings a twinkle to your eyes. Be positive and think happy thoughts. Sometimes that is not easy but your eyes will be brighter when you are. |

Hi Winnie. But if you have problems, no matter how possitive you think you wont get a twinkle, cause deep insight you know that you are not happy. And positive thoughts you can have, but if you have always have bad luck, then you can do nothing about it, no meater how possitive you think, really i know, because I have been through a lot, more that older people do. And a light heart you can have, but does not mean you will get a twinkle. And sometimes people have naturally dull looking eyes, ( without that it has to do with problems or so) Ok, bye!!! |

you cant avoit pain, but you can avoit suffer...
for me,pain is like the causale and suffer is the deed.
If you cant accept a situation, you will suffer until you can accept it.I dont wanna sound idealistic, life IS hard. But its a question how you look at it ive gone through a lot too,but better light a candle, than cry about the darkness... |
