Has anyone come across a sunscreen where zinc is the only "active" ingredient? |

Shiseido spf 55 uses zinc oxide as the main active ingredient and octinoxate as the 2nd active ingredient. Using only zinc oxide as a sunscreen will not yield much protection in terms of UVA. |

What about sunscreen with Titanium Dioxide as the only ingredient |

Megan Gale does both a sunscreen and a moisturizer using ZinClear, an invisible form of Zinc Oxide as the only active. SPF 20-30. |

How about some of the Skinceuticals sunblocks? |

I don't think the Skinceuticals contain just zinc. I think they have titanium dioxide as well.
Thanks for the Megan Gale link! |

I just found out about the Epicuren one. Do you use anything else from that line? |

I have used quite a bit from that line and always go back to it. What products are you interested in? |

I am 46 and of all the products that I have tried I like their Alpha lipoic cream, propolis cream, and their pro collagen. If you have a spa near you they may be able to assist you. I feel their products are probably very good for your age, but for me I think that I need something more aggressive. I like the fact that they have alot of good, natural ingredients in them and I never had any bad reactions. |

I really curious why most sunscreens contain something (like zinc oxide which can protect skin from uva ray) and titanium dixide. Why not just zinc oxide.
Just curiousity. |

I used the Megan Gale and my husband used to notice that it made me very white (he never usually notices things).
I did feel protected thought as it is very thick. |

It is by Marie Veronique and it is all natural. I am actually thinking of trying her products... |

Another zinc only sunscreen is Linda Sy Zinco. It comes in tinted and regular. It does have a white cast. The tinted is a very unnatural tint. It is a spf 20.
More reviews on MUA. You can purchase samples for $3.00 ea. I ordered samples and green cream samples from Linda Sy.
I prefer a Zinc with a chemical ingredient such as oxtinate as it is not as heavy. Examples Olay Complete, etc. |
