being bored today @ lunch I went and bought Jojoba oil from the health food store. Tonight I applied a small amount to cleanse my face and then washed off. I use JI Liquid foundation and after using the Jurlique Rose Visage I still had alot of foundation left. I used the SC Gentle Cleasner for a final clean. Am I using this stuff correctly and exactly what is it going to be doing for my face.
Thanks for any help. I did do a search but I guess I need more help

It is my experience that any pure oil is not going to do a good job to clean your face. It need to work with an emulsifier to do that. Otherwise the oil residue will stay on your face..
I use jojoba oil just as moisturizer. I apply one or two drops on top of my regular moisturizer to 'lock' the moisture, or simply apply it alone. It has been working well this way in very dry winter days. |

I hear that to make your own cleansing oil, just mix some oil of your choice and some tween 20 together...I may try that some time ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

red head,
Have you read the Oil Cleansing Method thread? There might be some helpful hints in there. As well, I think rosebud uses jojoba oil for cleansing (could be wrong here), so she might be able to offer some advice. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |
