I received my very first tube of Dr. H Cleansing Cream yesterday. I wanted to know if it is supposed to smell this bad? I am wondering if the product is old and has started to degrade... the word that comes to mind for the smell is "fermented". All the reviews I read on the product, and I haven't seen anyone mentioning the smell yet, so thinking that maybe it's just my tube?
I don't think I would order it again, the smell is really off-putting. I'd try making my own instead... I'm sure I could make it smell better... |

Yes the smell is like a fermented yeasty rose scent - I actually really like this smell, very heady. |

my boyfriend calls the smell beer. he likes beer. so he washes his face. its all good.
just keep in mind, while washing your face, that everything in the cleanser is good for your skin...you'll soon stop noticing the smell so much. |

Wow, I don't think the cleansing cream smells bad at all! Yes, definitely there is a yeasty quality to it....but it most certainly shouldn't smell rancid. |

Yep, it is a distinctive scent. Noticed it immediately and thought it was odd, but now I actually like it! |

I also find that it smells like beer, or rather, like a brewery. But I really like it, and use it every morning in the shower. I love the fact that it doesn't dry skin at all! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Yes, I have definitely noticed that it smells kind of like beer. And I like beer. But to me it smells like a glass that had a little bit of beer left in it that has been sitting out for a few days.
I don't know if I will get used it, much less start to like it, but for now I'm going to continue using it in the hopes that my face will like it. |

Hi,
I also received my tube of dr h cleansing cream this week. I noticed the smell when I opened it, but it hasnt bothered me at all. I wouldn't have thought to describe it as bad, I dont even really notice it.
Good luck though, I quite like this stuff and may even write a review about it soon!! |

For some reason I associate the smell of Dr H CC with barbeque. Dunno why exactly, could it be because bbq goes well with beer? But since I love bbq I have no problem with the malty smell. I think that even if I *did* have a problem with it I would stick it out since it works so well. |

I quite liked the yeasty bread smell. Makes me hungry in the morning... reminds me of when my mum leavens dough! |
