How can I force my lashes to behave properly? They're OK when it comes to length, but they seem to want to stick out in all directions, however careful I am when I apply mascara. I don't use an eyelash curler, but was heavily tempted to try one of the heated curlers that a SA talked so warmly about the other day.
Does anybody have any tips for how I can make my lashes at least point in the same direction? That shouldn't be too much to ask (and wp mascara should be better, but I just don't see any difference). |

Nemi I have the same problem, I too am thinking of investing in a heated eye lash curler.
Would love to hear any sugestions. |

Good to hear I'm not alone, at least. Maybe I'm a tad perfectionistic, but it looks silly when my long eyelashes point in all directions
I read some reviews of the heated curler called Eyecurl, but apparently, the quality is very poor, so I won't go for that one. I am tempted by the one by Modelco, but that's more expensive (but bright pink )
Big problems today |

I have a similar problem with one of my eyes. The lashes on my left eye apparently grow in two different directions – ½ of them grow slanted towards the far corner and the ½ grow towards the inside, so unless I use a (metal) lash comb first to TRY and get them all facing front and center, then my lashes look kinda lop-sided when I apply my Ardell Lash Growth Accelerator (which I use in place of a clear mascara b/c I tint my own lashes) and then curl them with my Japonesque Double-pad GoCurl (traditional) curler and then “lock” the curl into place with my heated lash curler.
Yeah, I know it sounds like a lot of work, but I’ve been cultivating these lashes with all the various serums for months (Nemi - where have you been? Surely you can’t have overlooked the frenzy regarding Lucia, Ardell, DreamLash, 1000 Hours DIY Lash Tint, etc, these last few weeks!!!), so I want to ensure that my new, longer, lusher, darker glossy lashes are displayed to their best advantage....
So anyway, I’m the one that used to endorse the EyeCurl heated curler until I had to rescind it when my 4th one fell apart when I took it out of the package. Then Mabsy got me a Model Co Lash Wand, which I really liked...until, that is, Lolli was kind of enough to swap me her Blinc Heated Lash Curler for some Ardell.
You people are going to start thinking I’m fickle since I’m now changing allegiances yet again because I’ve got to say that out of all of the heated lash curlers that I’ve ever tried (and there have been many more than just the two named above!!), I have to say that I like the Blinc version best of all, but this is only because it has a double-heating element so that the curler gets hotter (but *not* hot enough to burn or scorch one’s lashes or hair) which means that it gives a better, more lasting curl. One of these days, I’ll muster up the energy to write an official product review to sing the praises of the Blinc, but if someone (Nemi?!) wanted a recommendation, that would be the one that I’d now give.
Good luck wrestling those stubborn lashes into submission!!
HTH,
Carrie |

Where I've been? I've been presenting a paper, and writing 80 pages of my dissertation...I am almost mutating into a person who is careless about my appearance.
So the Modelco Lash Wand isn't pink? Is it silver or white? Maybe I was fooled by all the other pink stuff from Modelco...
Oh, back to work. Revisions |

The curler itself is a sort of frosted silver. The box is pink, though!
My apologies for the crack about your whereabouts, no offense intended. Although I spend inordinate amounts of time around here, I realize that most people *do* have an actual life outside slaving for beauty! Good luck with your doctorate...maybe we'll soon be celebrating a "first" for you, like the one GuapaGirl just received. |

No offense I am trying to keep a bit of a life outside the office, but it's getting harder. But I think I have to dedicate some research to lashes, growth and curlers next. Whenever I finish these two chapters....
Nov. 1st is the dissertation deadline, then it can take from 3-6months until the defense (which goes over two days. Norwegian system...) |

Wow! you're the best! Now I have stuff to read for days.
(But I have only tried tinting my lashes twice. I am too impatient, I just can't keep my eyes closed But I'll have a new go before my upcoming holiday)
And since I can get the Lashwand just around the corner here, it's as good as bought. |

Then the 1000 Hours Lash Tint is right up your alley, b/c you don't have to keep your eyes closed!! |
