It should work, just press it-press post reply first & then press quote. I don't know how to do partial quotes like others do. Confused

LOL! Actually I did it the way you said. I replied, then hit the quote button at the top, copied and pasted your message from below, then hit the quote button again. That would explain why it didn't say your name. I'll get it next time. Thanks again!

All I did to reply to your post right now is to click on "quote" on the top of your original message and then just start typing after the [/quote] tag in the message window Wink

You got it right! It didn't work because I had actually typed the "[/quote]" in my message so when you hit reply it used the tag I wrote as the ending of the quote rather then the second tag that it put in. Had you done that on any other post it would have worked just fine.

Btw, since this has gone really off topic, I'm going to split this whole "quoting" discussion into The Lounge so that others may benefit as well Wink

Also wanted to add, in answer to Marina's semi-question, that partial quotes are done the same way as normal quotes but with further editing. So, click 'quote' on the post of the person that you want to quote, and then delete anything you don't want from between the quote tags (but leave these in place). Voila!
