I've been spending a lot of time lately looking for new products to try (still looking for my HG product). Then on Strawberrynet.com I found a lot of Dermalogica products that I haven't even heard of before. They are all salon sizes (obviously meant to be used only by professionals), but I'm really curious about these products and what they do. Most didn't have any description to them, so I thought I'd ask here.
The list of products is quite long (sorry about that!)but if any of you guys know anything about them, I would be really happy if you would let me know...
Here it goes:
Acidic Activator
Bio-Peel
Clinical Colloidal Oatmeal Masque
Colloidal Masque
Contour Masque
Plankton Masque
Post Extraction Solution
Scaling Fluid
Skin Exfoliant System - Enzymatic Base Part A
Calming Botanical Mixer
Clearing Additive
Environment Control Serum
Exfoliant Accelerator 26
Massage Cream
O2 Uptake Serum
Pigment Control Serum
Purifying Botanical Mixer
Replenishing Botanical Mixer
Revitalizing Additive
Sebum Control Serum
Soothing Additive
I found the masques in particular to be very interesting (the plankton one should be good for oily skin). Also the O2 uptake serum (would it be anything like the PSF one?) and the sebum control serum sounds good. The scaling fluid is supposed to reduse oil production and dissolve clogged pores.
I'm really interested in trying these products, but since they are supposed to be used in salons and by professionals I'm afraid they are too powerful, and that they could be dangerous for someone to use at home. Any opinions on this???
Again, sorry about the long post. |

Sorry, can't really help you with that. I know that they have a salon only range but I don't know much about it. The O2 uptake serum does sound pretty good though! |

I get Dermalogica facials so I can tell you a little about the things my beauty therapist uses on me! Of course, this isn't a professional opinion, only what I have observed or been told.
* Clinical Colloidal Oatmeal Masque is a thick, chunky kind of mask (cream color) that is used for soothing irritated skin and healing scars etc. I really like this one.
* Scaling Fluid is what they put on a blemish before they do an extration (I guess it helps loosen it up or something) and the Post Extraction Solution is what they put on that area afterwards to help it heal and kill bacteria.
* Botanical Mixers are used with your normal Derm moisturiser at the end of the facial, depending on what your main skin concern is.
Not sure about the other things, hopefully someone else on here will have more info. Have you tried looking on www.dermalogica.com? I think there is a professional section on there. |

Thanks for your reply. Tried dermalogica.com, but didn't get any info on any of these products.
Don't think I'll order them anyway because of the big sizes, bit of a waste to buy a salon size just to find out it's not working for you... At least I'll have to wait for next pay check, decided to order most of the products on my "want to try"-list yesterday (meaning $700 ), so now I'm almost broke. Think I spend to much time here... |
