I read in a health food magazine that these supplements can plump up your skin from the inside out and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Has anyone had any success using these products (i.e. visible improvement)?
Thanks

I took Hyaluronic Acid for quite some time for lip plumping. It was rather amazing to see how much younger and fuller my lips looked. As far as my skin goes, I can not say I found any marked improvement from HA. It will be interesting to here from other forum members taking the supplement. Hyaluronic Acid also help the discomfort in my ankle joint. |

Hi JewelLady,
Can we get Hyaluronic Acid in Canada? I have looked at several drug stores ... and can't find it. Yet when I look on Google ... it seems that every second one references Hyaluronic Acid from Canada!
Since I am in rural Ontario perhaps it's just a matter of looking a little further afield. Do you know of any brands that retail it?
Winnie,
I wonder why it made such a difference in your lips ... and your ankle ... but not your skin? Could it be that the JB products were doing such a good job that the Hyaluronic Acid had nothing left to do?

I didn't think to mention I apply HA topically every day (Mineral Prep). Oh believe me there is so much I have left that needs improvement (body ).
Amazon.com has excellent prices on HA supplements. They have so many listed you head will spin. I use Hyaluronic Acid with Collagen; Source Naturals |

Hi Winnie,
I'm just curious, what form of HA did you take, liquid or capsules?
The salesperson told me that the liquid form is more quickly assimilated into the body and has had positive feedback from customers.
Thank you for your experience. |

Hi hpjrt,
Yes, HA can be purchased in Canada at your local health food store. There are 2 canadian companies which distribute the products in Vancouver. One is called Albi HA (retails for about $37CAD) and the other is called HLA Premium pure HA in liquid form (retails for about $52CAD)by Source of Life products. I purchased the liquid form because the nutritionist said that this particular form is easily assimilated by the body and has had positive anti-aging results from customers. It is also good for joints, connective tissue and for the eyesight.
I just began taking it, so I'll keep you posted.

This is where I've ordered HA from in Canada. I've literally looked from Vancouver Island to the interior of BC and every where in between for this stuff, it's not sold any where!
Aviva.ca is in Winnipeg, shipping is reasonable and fast. Not sure about the price though, it's a bit steap for one month's supply.
I took it to see if it would help my dry feet and scalp, didn't help either but my lips were nice and plump. After one dose I can feel my lips plumping (and I was very, very skeptical just because it's my nature ). They feel tight and flake a bit at first but after that they look more full and have less lines. |
