Hi im a 29 yr old brown skinned female from the Bahamas. In our country we are have alot of problems with sand flies and mosquitoes. When im bitten any where on my body it would turn into a bump and after it is healed a dark mark would appear on my skin and would leave an unattractive discoloration mark. I would like to know if there is a product out there that i can use to help remove the marks of my skin. I would be so thankful to know that there is a product out there to help me.

Are these permanent or do they just take a very long time to heal? I wonder if the same things that work for post-acne marks would work here - i.e. vitamin C serum (to heal the skin) and glycolic acid or something along the lines of Dermalogica Microfoliant.
Also, is there a possibility that you may be allergic to these? I might be grasping at straws but I do have marks after mosquitos and sand/fruit flies but these go away after a few days - I'm just trying to figure out why you're experiencing something different. |

I have had similar marks left from insect bites. The ones on your body from shoulders down take years to disappear.
I put Skinceuticals C 20 on about 50% of these spots, only for about 5-6 times, and those dark marks did soften out A LOT compared to others. So it may be worth it to invest in a C serum. |
