I've used some of Cosmedix products:
Define- this is a good lactic acid moisture cream (it's quite creamy) and it is also my favourite in the range
Refine 8%- a good retinol product and does induce peeling. It does dry out the skin more than RetinA but doesn't quite give the same results. For all the peeling and sensitivity, I broke out after 3 months (quite unusual for me) and my skin doesn't appear softer. But it does look more refined but that could be a combo of PTR Max Correction Pad that I've been alternating. I also happen to prefer Environ Retinol serum better than Cosmedix as I felt it gave better results.
Protect- this really sucks as sunscreen. It's a lgight fluid but it feels very sticky and heavy even though face doesn't look greasy. And it broke me out in small bumps.
Emulsion- Okay but pretty blah. And it gives you the feeling that the moisture doesn't sink in but just lies on top of the skin.
Phytoharmony- I didn't see much of a difference with this one. But it could be because I later found out that this is for menaposal skin. I'm only in my 30s so...
Clarifying Toner- I like this one but it's not a stand out from other toners with AHAs and BHAs. |

i got oily skin and i use some of its products to control oil. I use the cleanser, toner, defy and refine.
My skin not only became less oily but the my skin GLOWS. It looks nice and shiny, not oily shiny but healthy shiny. However, i find that if i use it everyday and night, my skin will become over-irritated and break out like no tomorrow. I use the products every other day, in between i use Decleor products, which are much milder. But Cosmedix really works. Especiallu if you got oily, congested, skin, as well as wrinkled, aging skin. |
