I just received a Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque from an ebay seller. There is no expiration date on it except "5H042"
Anyone knows what it means? Or how can I find out if the tube is even good?
Thanks |

I asked the seller about the expiration date and she wrote back and said it expires June 2007...How did she know? I have no idea. I tried the mask on twice and it definately works. |

Email dermaligica with the code and ask for the corresponding exp date. In the meantime, I say if it doesn't smell or look bad, I don't thing that it will hurt. |

I don't believe that you need an expiry date on products that are not SPF or Drugs. NOrmally it is two years after opening. On the outer carter their should be the european logo of a jar open and a number - that indicates how long it can be kept once opened. |

one can't help but wonder why they don't just put expiration dates that everyone can understand ...You shouldn't need to contact sellers or companies to find out how long thier products are good for - well that what I think anyway |

I completely agree with you Ruth...makes me wonder the real motive behind it |

That is what the open jar symbol is for. This is a European directive.http://europa.eu.int/rapid/pressReleasesAction.do?reference=IP/05/279&format=HTML&aged=0&language=EN&guiLanguage=en |
