I've had this for a long time now and it's [censored] well annoying Crying or Very sad

I have these kinda dark patches underneath both my eyes, pretty much identical on both. It's made my skin go a little grey and its got kinda spots, well they aren't spots you find on a teenager just like lots of little lumps. It's probably not as bad as you maybe picturing it in your head right now, but to me I see it all the time and find it disgusting.

I think i've pretty much had it since some time in high school when I first got it, but it wont go away! It's not due to lack of sleep or anything like that.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be and what I could do it get rid of it once and for all?
I'm 21 now and it still hasn't gone Crying or Very sad

if their just little patches it could be pigmentation.. i think a lightening cream would be best for that.. i havent used one so i cant recommend anything.. i did see an eye cream called md forte lift and lighten eye cream that had good reviews at amazon.com.

I'm having a bit of a hard time trying to picture what you're talking about. Are the patches actually small patches of darker pigmentaton or are they like dark circles (but in your case not caused by lack of sleep).

In terms of the little bumps, I get these sometimes in the inner corner below the eye and some very gentle exfoliation (e.g. eye cream with a little bit of glycolic acid or some similar exfoliant) makes them go away quickly.

it is really hard to describe, because its such a strange thing.

basically my cheek skin is alright but as it goes towards the eye it looks like it breaks up into lots of little lumps, on top of dark skin. and it also does look like there is a big ring around my eyes, don't know why though - wish it'd go away : cry :

Sorry its so hard to explain, guess I could take a photo of it

What else is weird is that I noticed my brother had it! But no where near as bad as me.

Some people do have darker skin around (below) the eye area so perhaps that might be it, especially if you say your brother had it as well. I'm not too sure if that's what it is though. A photo might help if you can manage it, also it'd be good if you could see a dermatologist about it if it really bothers you.

I have the exact same thing you describe and it isn't going away. I also have dark circles. I've been using glycolic acid for about a month and the vitamin C eye cream by Murad with no change. I like the creams but they aren't helping my problem. To me, it looks like something is blocked, like tiny white pimples but they are not raised up except a tiny bit near the outer edge. I thought my problem may be because of lack of sleep but it isn't because they don't go away when I am sleeping well. Mine showed up overnight and I think the pores became clogged somehow. I have a lot of them. I was once using Camilia oil on my face and decided to try some under my eye one night and I think it was since then that these appeared. I'm leaning toward the oil being the cause. I'm not sure if these are milia though because they aren't raised up but more flush. It looks like a ton of white dots on purple skin. It is upsetting and I hope there is something that can be done. So far I haven't found the answer and I honestly dread going to the dermatologist but I may not have a choice.

whitelori - i feel your pain my friend.

You are worried about the dermatoglogist? What would they do? (I've never been)

I too will continue the search to irradicate this problem, but I too have yet had no luck =(

This eye cream I've been using hasn't done much either.
I can pm you my email if you want, and then we can keep in touch more easier if we find a cure

If these white, clogged pores could be milia, then the Vit-a-plus eye creme (not sure if thats the right name, but eds sells it - it has glycolic acid in it) from MD Formulations really helped me. I had these small white bumpy clogged pores under my eyes, and after a few days of using this (with a more moisturising cream on top) they were gone.

Hope that helps.

EDS ships internationally. I´ve had great results with the MD Formulations range. Good luck.

Hi
I had this problem with my eyes and I changed several things and now my eyes look great and younger, other people have noticed. I started drinking 3-5 cups of hot green tea a day and excersing outside for about 20 minutes and drinking tons of water. When we get dehydrated our eyes are the first place we will see it because the skin is so sensative. As far as skin care products I switched all mine to clarins My eyes were my main focus so that was my first purchase because there products are a little $$$. I use a hydrating eye mask 2X a week and the Baume Anti-Rides for evening and the Serum Super Lift in the morning. I LOVE IT!! And it is the only thing that has ever given me results like this. Hope this helps

Hi Ginjarou,

I guess I'm sick of doctors. Not afraid to go but thinking they'll just say they are clogged pores and then they'll want to remove them surgically and that there is nothing else that can be done. How do you PM an e-mail address? Is it through the chat on this board? Thanks!

Sharkbait, what is a safe mosturizer for eyes that will not cause clogged pores? I will try the eye cream you suggest. I'm using Murad's vitamin C product during the day and I like it so far. Neostrata at night which I like as well but it isn't doing anything for he clogged pores.

Thanks!!!

I second MD Formulation Vit-A plus eye cream but with a more moisturizing eye cream on top.

I´m using the MD Formulations Antioxidant eye creme on top of the Vit-a-plus, and I´ve had great results. I think any moisturizing eye creme or serum would do though.
