It isn't the nicest looking mask, it reminded me of wet builders sand :D but one teaspoon of powder mixed with a teaspoon of water goes a long way.
It mixes to a smooth paste that I left on between 10-15 minutes before massaging off. The sandy feel gives you an excellent exfoliation but it's not harsh on my skin.
While I could feel some tightening of the mask it wasn't uncomfortable like some clay based masks I've used.
When I rinsed it away I had lovely smooth glowing, deep pore cleansed skin.

i am a total devotee of dr h and have been using this mask for nearly a year. although i reviewed it ages ago, i haven't used it for about 6 weeks and decided to use it again last night when my skin felt a bit congested and remembered how much i loved it. so this week my skin has been feeling a bit blah, not bad in any way but just a bit dull, maybe congested, so when Kiwiboy was out last night i had a wee facial party for myself!

This is a versatile mask because you can adjust the thickness and intensity of the cleansing effect you want.
The size of the clay particles are MUCH better than fine kaolin clay. Because I find kaolin clay mixed with water based masks to be impossible to rinse clean without a second or third try. And that's the last thing I want to do once my face has gone through a clay mask. The loess clay pretty much rinses clean without needing to sponge or wipe (though there are Dr H sponges on EDS :oops: )

I got this with my last order a few weeks ago and have used it a few times now. I find that after I used it my skin purges a bit and I get some zits out.
The weirdest thing about this mask is that you have to mix it yourself. I've been finding it a bit runny, Am I supposed to leave it for a while before applying it to my face?
Anyways, I do like it b/c it pulls all the junk out of my skin. It's got me wanting to try more Dr. H

I am seriously blown away by this mask, even though there are already several reviews for this I had to do one too! Let me start out by saying that my pores have NEVER been this clean and tight (I wish I had found this years ago!). I noticed after the first use that my skin was unusually bright and glowy and so much more even, terms I dont throw around lightly, and it has gotten better with each use. I have very oily skin (thanks Mom!) and within 30 mins of washing my pores will fill back up with oil and
