Hello, I purchased dermalogica special cleansing gel from EDS. I prefer foaming cleanser with rich lather. I used MDF for 16 months. I like MDF but they don't have foaming cleanser with rich lather. So I tried lancome, estee lauder, clarinse, clinique, and shiseido. But these have strong perfume and make my face feeling tight and dry. I asked EDS aesthetician by email. My skin is sensitive combination with a few pimples. She recommended dermalogica special cleansing gel. I wasn't interested in dermalogica. Actually, I did not know much about dermalogica. But this product changed my mind. Now I consider trying other dermalogica products. Because I really satisfied with this product. This cleanser has no strong smell. It's so pure and the smell is not noticable. This does not make my face feeling tight and dry. I will definitely purchase this again and again. I already recommend to all my friends and family. In my opinion, this will be good for all skin type. I will order skin brightening system next time. If anyone tried this, please leave a review for me. After trying skin brightening system, I will write a review again. I'm getting a fan of dermalogica. Thanks EDS for recommendation of this product. |

I like this product too, for the very same reasons. Plus, it's concentrated, so very little is used, and you get a lot of "bang" for the buck! |

I read some review on the website about this get said it is too drying. My skin is combination, normal except nose area. Will it be too dry for me? Consider changing to Der. line. |

Hi, Don't worry about dryness. My skin is just oily on nose like you. But it makes me feeling comfortable. This is a really gentle cleanser. I love this cleanser. |

I found the gel a bit drying too. Like the creamy cleanser better. Daily microexfoliant is the BEST! |

I used this cleanser for years and then realised it wasn't actually doing anything for my skin. It seemed great at first for my oily/combo skin but since then I've used other cleansers that have actually improved my skin in some aspect.
Even though I have combination skin, I think this cleanser actually dried my skin out a little too much after continued use and therefore made my problems worse in the long run. |

I really like this cleanser and have been using before I switched to kate somerville daily detox cleanser. It makes my skin feel soft and not too tight like most cleanser tend to do. I use it 2x at night when I m wearing make-up as a make-up remover as well. Works fine but daily detox cleanser is much better. I would try the latter instead. |

It didn't do anything to me...
I have combination skin but you can barely notice any oil film on my face. Every morning and night while I was using this product, however, I had to wash my face several times in order to get rid of the oil on my face.
Trashed my bottle before it was finished... |

This is a super gentle cleanser. It doesn't really foam. It would be good for all skin types. I bought a huge bottle of it and used it all up. But it wasn't THAT good or worked any miracles that made me buy it again. So I moved on to try other cleansers. I did like the smell though. It just wasn't HG. |

I tried a sample of this, and found it a tad too mild and gentle for me. |

I find that its tad drying for my combi skin. I still prefer the ultracalming cleansing gel to this. |

I used this for around 4 years. It worked pretty well but I did find it a tad drying. I think it's a pretty good cleanser, I think it deep cleans quite well. I don't remember getting blackheads with it. I got sick of it though and switched to hopefully find something better. |

Before I loved this brand so much, however I changed my mind since I used its cleanser, and this cleanser is a recommendation in other forums. I just think it doesn't clean well. |
