I recieved a sample of this and I have to say I am impressed.
A clear liquid, soap free, was a little disapointed at first that it did not lather much but it took off all my make-up, was gentle on the eye area and did not leave my skin feeling tight afterwards.
There is not much scent to this, I did detect a slight mintyness which I wished had been stronger.
On the whole I did like this |

The above post is a review of the following product available at EDS:

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel (250 ml / 8.4 oz)
A soap-free foaming lather of Quillaja Saponaria and Lavender thoroughly removes impurities without stripping essential moisture. Balm Mint extract softens and soothes even the most sensitive skin. All skin conditions.

Yeah I love this stuff! Always happy when someone else likes it to. It is definitely something that is on my re-purchase list.
Thanks for the review! |

I've been through bottles and bottles of this cleanser, but I've finally decided to stop using it for a while because I found that it was making my skin feel a bit tight and dry.
It makes your skin feel really clean, especially when you follow Dermalogica's suggestion to use the cleanser twice, and it's a weird feeling to switch to other cleansers that don't give you that really clean, cleansed feeling. I've got really oily skin, but after going through a couple of bottles I felt that perhaps I was stripping my skin too much and that was contributing to how oily my skin was.
Saying that I would use it again, as it really does the job and removes makeup aswell, and is great in the summer. Though maybe would'n't cleanse twice as suggested on the instructions |

I got a sample of this with my pre-cleanse. It really does leave your skin feeling clean but it also left mine a bit dry. I have pretty resilient skin but my cheeks are sensitive to cleansers, some can dry them out. It worked really well with my pre-cleanse, even left my pores looking smaller, but my cheeks got tight so I knew I couldn't use this everyday. I would purchase the full size only after I've gone through my cleanser to-try list. |

it's good when I'm too lazy to do OCM |

This really is a good line but I agree with one of the other users - the anti-bac soap can make your skin feel tight. It's great for summer and oily skin. I got the oily skin line for my 15 year old neice and her skin cleared up nicely. If you get a chance to get a facial with this line try it! They have one product they use to clear out poors called scaling fluid. It feels like clouds on your face and makes the extraction process much more pleasant! I use the medicated clearing gel for blemishes and this really works for me. I also use the ultra sensitive faceblock spf25 instead of foundation during the summer months - it is a wonderful shade and I don't breakout. |

I am definiely a fan of the Special Cleansing Gel too. I love how it lathers up. I know what you're talking about joannawinz-I also had a Dermalogica facial and she used the scaling fluid. They lather it up until it looks like fluffy eggs. It really worked and it wasn't painful when she did the extractions. |

I'm getting a Dermalogica facial on Wednesday and I can't wait! I've gotten my first cyst on my chin (after a really bad period) and I wonder if the esthetician will have any suggestions. |

There is not a big mint scent, in fact Dermalogica products barely smell at all and you can only detect a hint of mint. |

Just started using this one - I have also used the anti bac cleanser and it was good for a while but my skin ended up dry and would absorb moisturiser. |

I wanted to love this cleanser so much because it works really well, but it was just too dry. It took my skin awhile to recover from the driness it caused. The precleanse is wonderful though, but I use another cleanser (spectro gel) with it. |
