I have just read all your reviews of the Jane Iredale concealer and am dying to try some.
Is it just for concealing shadows under the eyes, or could you use it over red veins aswell (I use Bare Escentuals mineral foundation which is brilliant, and currently use the bisque but find it doesn't really provide that much cover for red lines and circles).
Mabsy, you mentioned on yours that someone (not sure who) had helped you chose your perfect colour, but I couldn't find the post referring to this.
Could anybody help with telling me the difference between the shades?
Thanks for any advice. |

Hi Heidi,
Sorry for late reply, I've been a tad busy the last few days and don't get to read the posts here as often.
I've got the JI Circle Delete and use it for dark circles and also for veins (blue ones though). This is just a hunch but I think for red veins (broken capilaries etc?) I would use just the mineral foundation powder on a fine brush and apply it that way. Have you tried that? The JI Circle Delete is fairly emmolient so I'm not sure how it would hold up on an area of your face that you might touch a lot (cheeks etc). I'm not sure what area you are looking to cover up.
I believe Leiladao was the person who helped me chose the shade (some of this might have been done in private messages though, I can't quite remember). The original post is here: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=551

Thank you Mabsy - you are always so helpful and I will certainly give your suggestion of applying the bare minerals foundation with a different brush a go (maybe my BE concealer brush?). The foundation itself does cover so well, but it's those hard to reach place (around the nose etc.) that have me perplexed.
Your link to your original post with Leiladao was very useful too, and not only has it given me some insight into what shade to go for with the JI circle delete (I think I'll try the #1), but I might just change my shopping night to Tuesday !!!
Thanks again. |

Not a problem Heidi!
The brush I use is just a fine tipped concealer brush (not sure that the Bare Minerals one is like). I'm using the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage one.
When you do try this make sure you do it on well moisturised skin. When I apply mineral foundation I find that I have to wait for the moisturiser to sink in before I start applying otherwise it grabs unevenly. However, for things like concealing that "grabbing" is quite helpful. I find that it covers for longer this way.
Have fun shopping! I'd better log off and go to sleep otherwise I'll be at risk of making yet another purchase too!
