I like to use a self tanner a couple of times a week because I think it is a good way to keep me out of the sun. It can be very tempting to sunbathe in the summer (especially where I am from, where summers are short), but a good self tanner can stop me from it
I have tried many different brands, and until recently I thought they were all quite the same. The one thing I haven't liked about most of them was that they tend to get darker in those areas where the pores are bigger (for me, nose and chin), and especially if the pores are a bit clogged. This does not look nice at all, it makes you look more dirty than tan.
I recently got a sample of MD Formulations Self Tanner, which I hadn't tried before, so I was really curious about it. I applied it in the evening, which I always do, after cleansing/exfoliating. First of all, I found the product to be much easier to apply to the skin. Second, it felt moistirizing, which is unusual for a self tanner I think (Clarins Radiance Plus excepted). But the greatest pleasure came in the morning, when I looked in the mirror I had a completely even, natural-looking tan! Without the usual darker pores. Maybe this is because of the glycolic-thing in MD Formulation-products? So if you're looking for a great self tanner which is not too dark, try this one!! I am defintely going to buy the whole product on my next order. |
