Hi
In December, I will be spending 9 days in Italy, visiting Rome, Florence and Venice. Particularly in Rome, I think I may be to get at least a full day just doing shopping.
Does any one have recommendations on where to do shopping, where to eat and what to buy in Italy??
Lest you think me shallow (hehe, just food and shopping), "Insight" tour will be taking care of the sights... 
Appreciate some tips.

Hi Jenny,
I went to Rome a couple of weeks ago and quite frankly - it was the worst trip of my life! It was cold, raining, full of weirdos trying to sell you an umbrella (or just begging for money) plus we happened to be staying in a really horrible 'hotel' very close to the main railway station (no bathroom or central heating or clean sheets). I love Italian food so I wanted to try the 'real thing' - I can tell you now that they have better pizzas in my local supermarket! Hey but I'm being told that the north of Italy is soooo much nicer! Personally, I will not go to Rome again even if they were to pay me...sorry...

I'm sure you'll have an amazing time...My best friend is Italian, from Naples. She said the deserts and pasta are amazing... |

Actually, in my first post, I wanted to ask if Italian men are worth checking out cos I seem to have a "dark, naughty, flirty" image of them. BUT, Mr Jenny will be with me ALL the time, and hence, I am "resigned" to just shopping and food. BTW, Mr Jenny is quite the possessive type (I am not complaining though - I like them jealous and green ).
I guess I better not get my hopes too high - the weather does not sound good.

From what I hear, that won’t stop Italian men!! My brother and his wife sub-let a villa outside of Florence last year and by the time they came home, my sis-in-law’s butt was black-and-blue from being pinched by admiring Italian ‘gentlemen’ – despite the fact that she never went out in public without my brother tagging along!!
