I received my Jurlique Lip Balm several day ago. Must say that I was so excited to get it as it is rated the #1 balm. I am very disappointed. For me there is nothing special at all about this balm. The staying power is short lived on my lips and I do not find it ultra hydrating. As far as the ingredients of: Chamomile, Evening Primrose Oil, Rose, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Shea Butter, Marshmallow I find nother special about them. The tube is ultra tiny for the price.
I had been using Sothy's Lip Enhance and find it so much more nourishing to my lip.
I must add: We are all so different. Carrie loves this product and doesn't care for Sothy. What works for one might not work or be appealing to another. We all have to find our HG. |

I'm sorry, Winnie!! That has to really suck. That was kind of my reaction to the Dr. H lip balm. It's so hyped up. It smelled great, but that was about it. I'm glad I didn't end up trying the Jurlique... I came this *squinches thumb and index finger* close to buying it the other day.
I'll stick by my Caudalie *any* day!! Maybe you should give it a try! It's the only moisturizing, sun-protectant, anti-oxidant, non-chemically abrasive one I've ever found to date.
Love love love! |

Me too I recieved my order from EDS today, immediately tried it on, really nothing special about it. I agree with rusalka, Caudalie is better, or even plain mentholatum gives me more healing and hydration.
$19 for a *almost sample size* tube... won't repurchase.

Of course I wanted to continue with Jurlique as I paid for it. My lips are actually sore this afternoon . I must have a sensitivity to something in the product. |

As I’m the one who caused your lemming moment, I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you. I still really like it (it’s my current night time lip balm), although I’m always on the lookout for an even better lip balm. Right now, I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Gatineau Electelle Beautifying Lip Care.... |

Hi Carrie,
I enjoy the trial and error. Esp. after your other excellent dicoveries, HA and ear wax remover, I ought to try anything you HIGHLY recommend. If you say washing your face with FABRIC SOFTENER is good, I will probably try it, seriously

I agree!! Carrie has a good track record when it comes to products (esp. for the lips). I am greatful everyday for the HA capsule recommendation.
Carrie it was not just your review on Jurlique but many other sites have it as the cat's A--as far as lip balms. |

Hmmm... I'm currently waiting for it to arrive. It's making its way over in an EDS parcel (come to me my precious!). I have had a look at a tester and it looked quite nice but I wasn't about to use a lipbalm tester on my lips so I just bought it on Carrie's rec. I'm hoping that because I liked Dr H lipbalm and the Decleor (which is still my favorite really, but it's so damn inconvenient!) I'll also like this one. We'll see. |

Hi Mabsy,
Don't get me wrong, it's still a good lip balm. If you like Dr.H's and Decleor's, I think you will this one too, it's more moisturizing than the other 2(IMO). But @ $19 for 0.3 oz, I expected a little more....
I can see this can be a good night lip mask (as Carrie mentioned above), and I am gonna do that tonite

You know, I had the same experience with this balm. I guess I expected fireworks when I used it, but I wasn't anything special. I mean, it was nice, but for me it is not worth the price. |

I must say that I'm on the fence still about this. I've used it a few times at night and while it's good I do prefer the Decleor one and I actually feel that it lasts longer overnight than the Jurlique (even though the Jurlique one is thicker). Both the Decleor and Jurlique are rather incovenient in terms of packaging, although the Decleor more so - being in a jar. I have a problem with dispensing the right amount of the Jurlique one out of the tube though. I am very um..... how do I put this nicely without offending MYSELF.... "particular" with my stuff so I always squeeze my toothpastes from the bottom up etc. I'm doing that with the Jurlique (which is one way of preventing cracking of the tube later on) but I always squeeze out too much.
My verdict is that I'm glad I tried it but my heart is with Decleor |

I need to update this because I have recently rediscovered this lip balm and am now addicted to it It patiently stayed on my bedside table for ages and I only used it occsaionally due to what I discussed above. But, recently, I somehow got into this and have now been using this many times a day. I don't bring it with me because I think it's not particularly convenient but I do use it when at home. I'm about half way through this now. It leaves lips nice and soft and also shiny. It doesn't last as long as some others but I think it's worth it and at this stage would actually repurchase.
How's that for a 180 degree turn!? |

I have been on a lipbalm trying frenzy lately.. I tried Decleor, Dr H and this. I think I like Dr H much better because it is more waxy and has more staying power. |

I haven't tried it and based on many of the reviews here, I won't. I was curious about it though, which is why I checked out this topic. Thanks for saving me a little of my precious money! |

I am on a quest for a great lip treatment too. I've been using La Roche Posay Ceralip lip repair cream at night but it's not doing what I had hoped. The texture is a bit grainy at first then it's like a petroleum product. I also have a tube of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment and like the texture and scent but it's $22 and a bit pricey to use all the time. I've used Decleor in the past and love everything I've tried from the line but think I need something more. My lips are very dry right now and peeling and nothing seems to sooth them. Perhaps I will give Dr. H a try?? |

thanks for your review. Thats the problem with getting hyped up and then buying products. Cause usually thats what it is just hype. Its always good to read the bad and the pros about a product so one can make an informed decision. I certainly wont be wasting my money on this one |

This lip Balm seems to could help removing mascara.
But, this is not very moisture. And sometimes, this cream would leak from the end of this tube.... |

I've been using this for sometime now and although I initially loved how it instantly soothed and softened my lips,it doesn't prevent them drying up.Overall still a nice lip balm, I just need something more moisturising for my very dry lips. |
