I got a sample of this gel based exfoliator with no beads. It's supposed to smell citrusy, but to me it smells exactly like green lifesavers candy--that artificial lime candy smell I couldn't quite figure out how to use this. I believe you're supposed to put a layer of it on, wait till it dries, then rub it away in circular motions. This was easier said than done. It absorbed it to my skin very quickly and left it feeling tight, and slightly tingly (although the tingle is not a bad feeling). I couldn't even see the product to know where to start rubbing it off. And then it felt uncomfortable to rub off, so I just ended it up washing it off. The only other exfoliator I can compare it to that I'm using would be Dermalogica's microfoliant, which I prefer because it's easy to use and I like the results. Alhough the Microfoliant leaves a taut feeling sometimes, so I have to put moisturizer right away. For a cream exfoliator that you're also supposed to rub off, (but I used it as a mask and washed it off, but still got great results) that I also like is Decleor's Phytopeel. |
