Jade: Have you noticed that the ADCE, prep, Okusil say that you should not use them while pregnant or nursing? I think it is probably just a precaution that they need (by law) to put on the package if trials have not been run but I thought I would bring that to your attention. |

I have just about convinced myself that I must try the ADCE. Most of my head was trying to convince me otherwise since I just ordered from Rosa y Fruta and want a few things from here at EDS. And of course if I get the ADCE then I will also want the Prep and the Okusil so that everything can work properly. The build your own deal on the JB site is pretty good since I can get all three of these for the regular price of the ADCE. So much of a good deal that I'll end up with the 4oz ADCE when I would have ordered the 1 oz to see how it worked for me. While my skin isn't particularly sensitive, it can get insane and very reactive to some products, including ones that shouldn't bother it in theory. Kind of a mind of its own sort of thing. It wouldn't be nearly as tempting if I had to buy the ADCE at full price.OUCH! Hopefully they will keep this special for a little while longer. I am still waiting for that last push into buying mode. I am still holding on, but barely. I was trying to be good darn it. |

I spoke with Janson-Beckett concerning the above: "the precaution for pregnant women is while they are breast feeding. The AlphaDerma is fine for pregnant women but we just don't want them applying it to the nipple area while breast feeding. That is a precaution just like anything else so a baby will not injest the product from the mothers nipple. Other than that it is fine to use while they are pregnant. Even if a baby would injest the product from the mothers nipple it would not hurt the baby as the product is already absorbed. We put the warning just as a precaution." |

I want to wade in here: After reading all the posts on ADCE, I decided to order it. I used it religiously for about 6 weeks, but I got a ton of blackheads on my forehead, which I do not usually have, and I decided that it wasn't working for me. I was really bummed, because I have some parallel lines on my forehead that are not so thrilling. My 3 year old daughter pretended to write her ABC's on them, the day before I ordered!!
I called the customer service, and a very nice person looked up my invoice, and directed me to send the unused product back. So I did.
So then the bottles were shipped back to me with a xerox telling me that I'm not eligible for the guarrantee.
I called the company, and the (very nice) person I spoke to when I called said that because I ordered a "special"-- the CE and the prep together, I wasn't allowed to return it.
This is pretty crummy, because when I ordered initially, over the phone, no one said anything about this rule.
I even sent an email to the president, Ian, and he said he'd get back to me, but it has been over a month, and I've not heard a peep. Even having sent a few follow up emails...
Anyway, I took the leap of faith because all the posts were so positive about a) the products and b) the customer service. Both were a disappointment. |

Using the product for six weeks is 43 days. Did you have the product back to the company within the 45 days as stated on our website? If you care to send me your name and address I will look into the particulars of your transaction. I noticed in a previous post your went for the AlphaDerma because:
"I'm leaning toward the Alpha Derma, because I like the no holds barred guarantee." Janson Beckett has a very clear guarantee.
We always try to take the extra step to satisfy all our customers. I do not know the details of your communication with our office (Don't know who you are as a customer).
Where you still have our product I would be happy to help you through the problems with blackheads. I would like to know your whole routine so I can guide you. The Mineral Prep and AlphaDerma does not have any history of this problem.
Please feel free to contact me at any time. Find below a clearly posted guarantee on our website. When placing a telephone transaction it would be near impossible to go though our guarantee with each customer. Truly, I don't know of any company that would go through it.
If you are not completely satisfied, simply call Toll Free 1-888-476-3600 to schedule a return. You'll receive a full refund within the first 45 days.
Please Note: All offers which include a Free product are Non-Refundable. For example any "buy 2 get 3rd Free" or any "special combo and/or discounted offers where you're able to select additional products at no charge, or at a discounted rate" - these types of offers are non-refundable. Additionally, Janson Beckett, Inc. reserves the right to refuse refunds based on abuse of our return policy.

I apologize for not getting back to you but I gave your account to another as I have been sick and not in for about 8 days. I was not aware they didn't follow up and help you. At the very least you should have been given products at no charge to help with the blackheads. As far as the return, the employees have to stand by the return policy. I on the other hand can help outside of the normal policies. First, if you broke out in blackheads I would like to know your skin care routine. Maybe something was interacting with the products as this is very unusual. I will refund you for the price of the AlphaDerma and will send you products to help your condition. Again I can only say that all companies have return policies and not everyone is going to be happy all the time. But we will help with what ever we can.
Thank you,
Ian S

Ian, thank you so much for your response and your offer.
I was using the X-Trap cleanser from Sircuit line, which I am still using with no ill effects, and I would also have used their Sir-Active zeolyte scrub, which I'm also still using, perhaps once a week.
Do you have any idea what could have caused my skin to react so? My t-zone tends to be a little touchy, but usually it is my chin that has the problems.
I was using your product only on my forehead and my crow's feet, and I did not have the same blackheads where I was not using it...
Please let me know what you think.
Many thanks. |

I have a question about applying the ADCE. I just received the 5 day sample pack ($19.95) so obviously I don't want to use too much. What's an appropriate amount, about a pea size (half inch)? |

Ashley,
You will find you need very little of the product as it goes on very smooth. The sample pack is meant to last you 5 days to see how you enjoy this Janson-Beckett line.
Please contact me if you have any questions.

i am not a rep from another company....
i am a 37 year old mother of three who is not aging very well. i am highly considering botox. my wrinkles are popping up daily. i have tried every over-the-counter option and have had little if any results.
i am not rich, but if i were to find something that REALLY worked then i would make sacrifices elsewhere to maintain my results.
i am genuinely looking for something that can help me turn back time a little...i'll be happy to take "Elmo"s free sample! I would wholeheartedly put it to the test & if it works, would gladly buy from you.
thanks for your time!

I have been using the ADCE since Oct . It has helped with the few lines that I did have. I also had been using other skincare stuff. I had horrible break out on my chin area. I was out of town and didn't bring the ADCE with me. I was using some acne med to try and get it under control and used way to much. My skin started to get very red and raw in the break out area. I had tried some of the products that I did bring with me but none helped. When I got home I started to put the ADCE on the raw area. The next morning I could not believe had much the ADCE had helped, it is almost completely healed I would never had believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself, and I'm so glad that I don't have to go to the dermo now!! |

A short while ago someone PMed me concerning using AlphaDerma with their acne. I am in sales and was brand new to my job. I did my research and got back to her. It has been found that in many cases the AlphaDerma and Prep actually help with breakouts. I knew it helped with scaring but nice to know someone with acne can benefit from the product.

hi everyone,
I would like to say a few things about this post:
1- I thank everyone who replied to my post
2- I read that some of you think that i might be a sales rep from another company, but I am not. I laughed when i just read this Sorry if it seemed that way, but i was just trying to compare between 2 products for my grandmother and that is why i started another post with a poll, to see results from people who tried both products.
3- For Ian S., I am very happy to see how good you are willing to go out of your way to make customers happy. Now that is what i call good customer service. But I just wanted to make it clear that my intentions wasn't to attack your company or products in this post. I was just trying to get real info on your company and products because i am new to this. I think, like you said, the person i spoke to, a while ago, wasn't an employee from yours, she was most likely an employee of the other company that takes orders for you guys.
i just made an order by phone for your products and this will be my first time to get and try your products. If this offer is still open, can you please let me know and i will be more than happy to take it.
4- Overall, I am sorry if i sounded like attacking the company, and its products. I didn't mean to at all.
Anyways, thanks again everyone for the replies and i really like the info in this post. I hope this can benefit others who are trying to lear about AD products.
