Hello everyone---
long time no talk. I've just received my diploma and for the first time in months...years...it seems as if there is a lull in my daily events. With that said...I know a while ago I promised results from the survey I posted on Essentialdayspa. Well, here are some of results before I applied statistical analysis to them! Please respond and say if there is anything you see that you expected or didn't expect for that matter...
Top five products used on a daily basis by respodents:
1. Cleanser 88%
2. Body Lotion 58.8%
3. Sun Screen 53.2%
4. Eye Cream 50%
5. Toner 37.5%
***tie***
5. Acne based skin care 37.5%
Is a SPF in a moisturizer important to you?
YES 73.9%
NO 26.6%
Does a mildy scented product attract your attention more than a scentless product?
Yes 41.3%
No 58.7%
Are you attracted to products that are clear in color?
Yes 56.9%
No 43.1%
Do you think that higher priced skin care products are better at fighting against anti-aging than lower to middle priced products?
Yes 33.5%
No 67%
**12.5% of all respondents said that seeing a CEO or dermatologist promoting a line of skin care on Public/National Television (either infomercial, QVC, Time slot (ie Perricone time on PBS) affected their decision to purchase the product**
** 37.8% of respondents said they had read books or articles written by companies or dermatologists owning skin care lines. 37% of those people said the articles/books affected their decision in purchasing the product.
***78.1% of respondents said they have read reviews for skin care products online. Out of those, 96.1% said the reviews affected their decision as to whether or not to purchase the product...!
statistical analysis confirmed the four following target demographics for high end/ prestige skin care:
baby boomers
women 25-40 with incomes $75,000 and up
women 25-40 with incomes of $30,000 - $50,000
Men 25-64
Fact: Did you know that men still purchase 15% of all prestige skin care that is not gender specific?
I could go on and on for days. Hope you enjoyed this data! |
