Hey ladies.
Some of you may know my skin is intolerant to salicylic acid and numerous other ingredients that are in acne skincare lines. It was suggested by m.april that I try a glycolic product (not this one a MD forte one). I decided to get the PTR glycolic hydrating gel instead because I'd rather purchase from EDS than wait 3 weeks for a product to show from the USA. It's that whole instant gratification thing.
Anyways, I've been using it for almost a month now. I haven't had any redness, burning, dryness or anything and I've been able to use it every night! I did have a bit of purging the first week or so but that's gone and my skin is now smoother, fewer blackheads, and more even looking.
This will be a staple product in my regime from now on. THANKS APRIL!
For those with acne and can tolerate salycilic acid the 10% glycolic clarifying gel may be for you. |

lianne - I'm so glad this is working for you Maybe it's just as well that you're using a different brand because MD Forte products generally have a higher % AHA content. If a lower percentage does the job, it's probably better for your skin.
I'm so happy for you! It should be noted for anyone who reads this that it's very important to use a good sunscreen in tandem with glycolics. |

Sounds great that you found a good product.
I found Gly 10% was too mild for me. Also, skin get used to Gly acids and have to step up all the time...
I now use Retinol as my exfoliant plus it does so much more at the dermal level and increases blood supply. |
