Does anyone know if a new law has been passed. I live in UK and just recently got note through door to pick up parcel and i had to pay 15 quid customs charge to get it from post office, it was my EDS order. It said that all consignments entering European community via postal system with a value exceeding £18 are generally subject to customs charges i have4 never haqd to pay anything from EDS before. |

It's just the luck of the draw.
Customs have always charged for packages over the value of £18.
They just randomly check parcels coming into the country (so I believe) and you were just unlucky enough to get caught this time. |

I have recieved a lot of parcels from EDS and it has not happened. I am wondering if it is worth ordering any more from them, they have a great range though and the free samples are brill. |
