Some BB creams tend to look grayish on those with yellow undertones. However, there are some with stronger yellow undertones so you may have to try various samples to get one that matches your skin tone.

Most BB creams come in only one tone or maybe two tones at most. They are supposed to blend in with your skin tone. They do tend to be on the light side (they are formulated for Korean and Japanese ladies). There are very few that are suitable for tanned complexions. You would have to read reviews on the internet. Do search under the various names and there may be some swatches or comparisons that turn up.

yes, I love BB cream. My daughter loves it too. We are using Misha one (light shade 21 for me and 23 (a little dark shade for my daughter).
My daughter has a lot of acne scar but after applying her bb cream, her skin is flawless looking (shining and glowing absolutely beautiful). I am using BB cream because of the lightness feelling after applying.not like foundation. and quick make up.. love it..love it.

I've tried the Skin79 and Missha before, and I've tried some BRTC Jasmine bb cream samples too, but I still loves my Tony Moly Expert Triple bb cream because the coverage is better...

Hi lisocas,

I think the way to pick the colour is as same as that of a foundation.

You can't just pick one without really trying it. It's too risky I think. Just get a sample size one and try it first.

It seems that some online shop do seeling BB cream sample. Which brand are you looking for??

Just wanna ask a question :

Those bb cream always claim that they are not solely a makeup, but can improve our skin's quality. Do you believe that? Or it is just more or less the same as a foundation??

bb cream in Korea with whitening, sun protection, anti-wrinkles are particularly under strict legislative control of the Korea Health Department. they must pass certain test to prove they have these effects....so they must have some improvement on the skin too....like whitening

Thanks takiko!

I do believe that Korean have put efforts to do research and technology advancement on bb cream. I have been shifted from foundation to bb cream for nearly a year. So far the effect is quite ok=)

hi everyone,
i would love to try some of this or any other BB cream. does anyone know where to get this in Toronto or the GTA? please let me know. TIA!

Hi,
I don't know if they are sold in GTA. I was going to order from Skin79. Shipping is free if you spend a certain amount.

Now, there is a new add-on with higher SPF 50. I would love to find a blog that has swatches of these BB creams.
It appears that VIP Gold Super Plus Beblesh Balm might be better to use in the winter, not on humid days.
I would also like to know exactly what ingredients are being used for sun protection. Don't you think it is important to want to know exactly what they are using and the percentage?

This woman's blog has a ton of information, videos, reviews and links that may be helpful.

What is BB Cream and why are Asian women crazy about it?

My question is, why was it the Germans who created this product has not invested on selling their own brand?

Thanks for the link, I will take a look now. Smile

I did post a link to the doctor's site who originated BB cream and still sells it on a thread someplace! I will see if I can find it again.

It apparently became very popular in Korea and Japan and they ran with it. Very Happy

I am sure Korea took the time to improve the formulation! There is no review on German brands, so we don't know how nice it feels on the skin.
I hope you find the link!
Thanks!

There are reviews online if you google her name Dr. Christine Schrammek and BB cream reviews.

Here is the link I mentioned earlier:

Thanks! I have discovered that the SPF and promises that it will lighten your skin tone as a skin care promise is not correct. This is strictly cosmetic and now I have doubts that the SPF is safe. What I mean is, I don't think you can rely on BB cream to replace sun protectors (sunblock or sunscreen).

I am disappointed. I have yet seen anyone type a review that their skin did not tan or burn from sunlight.

Until I see this in reviews, I am not sure I can rely on BB cream for that, but strictly another form of foundation.

I am open to hear from anyone who can contradict this & will be very happy if I am wrong. Smile

No and I have not tried any BB creams, I only just found the originator and the Asian brands I can not find any ingredient lists for so I won't buy a pig in a poke! I want to know what is in anything I use!

I've been wanting to try the new orange version!

Here is a blog with swatches, the orange version color looks more natural and bloggers say it is less grey toned than the pink: http://www.pinkydiamonds.com/2011/12/skin79-new-vital-orange-bb-cream.html

Here are MUA reviews: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=150578/Vital_BB_Cream_SPF50++_Hot_Orange_Label/Skin79/BB_Cream

And here is a blog with a photo of the ingredients listing: http://iwantibuyitalk.blogspot.com/2011/12/skin79s-vital-orange-bb-cream-review.html
