Since I know there are many people on EDS, who like me, find intermittent fasting interesting, I wanted to pass along a book recommendation on every other day dieting The basic idea is that you eat 500-calories on your diet day and eat whatever you want on your non-diet day. The book is written by scientist Krista Varady, who is the leading expert in alternate day modified fasting:

One of the things that so interesting to me is that people lose less muscle when they diet every other day like they do in Krista's studies...though I don't think I could do only 500-calories a day, as I'm super-close to my goal weight anyways (I'm lean at 15% bodyfat but going for bikini model lean now) |
