I just got my EDS package today. I have been looking for a soft flocked sponge. I had previously purchased from small indie mineral makeup companies. Many of these companies have closed and or no longer stock flocked sponges.
I decided to take a chance and add the True Cosmetics Finishing Sponge to my order. I did not realize you get TWO SPONGES. These are exactly what I am looking for and I consider a must have for anyone who wears mineral makeup or needs a tool to blend makeup perfectly.

BTW I also ordered PSF Canberry Gel eye lift. I used it years ago. Plus PSF peppermint lip balm (2) and a free spf lip balm from PSF. |

Hi Autumn! Do you find it better than a normal/kabuki brush to apply MMU, or do you use it after application with a brush? I've used kabuki brushes (and my trusted Jane Iredale Handi brush) for years to apply mineral makeup so I'm curious what the purpose of a finishing sponge is. |

I really like my brushes - all of them. I feel the best use of the sponge is to go over my face. This ensures everything is blended well. The sponge is the second or finishing step.
I do know that some people prefer a flocked sponge over a brush for their application of mineral makeup. This has been posted on mineral makeup forums but I have never tried it.
If someone is looking for flocked sponges I highly recommend this brand.
Edit to add: I also like this for small areas such as around the nose and inner eye for blending. |

Do you use the True Cosmetics mineral makeup or another brand? I have tried the True Cosmetics, yet the colours did not work for me and I am currently using Jane Iredale, yet always looking for something better.
I think I will order the flocked sponge, after reading your review! Thanks! |

I have not used the True Cosmetic makeup. I have so much mineral makeup as I started buying in 2004. Most of my stash is from indie companies. The exception is mascara which is usually drug store.
I was looking all over (literally online everywhere) for a flocked sponge. I bought some other cosmetic sponges with my Paula's Choice order and I don't like them.
The True Cosmetic ones are two to a package and higher quality. I was not expecting TWO sponges; just one. I do recommend these for powder cosmetics. |
