Hello all,
I'm a first time poster, but have lurked and really appreciated the quality of advice here. I want to get serious about my skin/face care now that I am 29, and wanted some feedback from anyone willing to help out.
I would say I have "normal" skin but not 100% sure. I never had acne and very few pimples unless I get stressed or something.
Right now I wear a Dr. Jart tinted moisturizer with SPF every day, a little blush and mascara.
Each night I cleanse with Ponds cold cream and occasionally Marcelle eye makeup remover. Then I have been putting on a sample of Clinique moisturizer on my face, which is a new thing I'm trying.
What would you be doing or adding at this phase of life? I've been looking into a few things... eye creams, night creams, etc. but I feel a little perplexed. I was using a vitamin C serum but I didn't think it did much for me.
My concerns:
1. Wrinkles!! I can see some forming under my eyes. Also, concerned about nasiolabial lines ... Perhaps I'm overly concerned but is there anything I can be doing at this stage? I've heard sleeping on my back (I'm a side sleeper), silk pillow, serums... thoughts?
1a. Is it too early to start facial exercises? I would like to try to tighten up the area under my chin/neck...
2. I wear contacts, so I'm concerned about the pulling of my eyelids to remove/insert them. Same about removing mascara - I use cotton balls but it does involve some swiping and tugging. Thoughts?
3. I also have dark circles under my eyes. Any ideas on how to improve them? (I can research here, just thought I'd ask while I'm at it)
4. Is it worth going into a store like Sephora and asking their opinion?
Thanks! |
