I love Decleor samples because they are big enough for you to try the product a few times before you decide if you want to buy it or not. I got this with all the samples that came with my recent order.
It's a cream-type mask which is pearly in colour and semi-dries on your face in about five minutes. The unique thing about it is that it is not rough, you use your fingers to gently massage your face in circular motion in order to remove the mask. That process removes the mask from your face together with all sorts of unwanted evil stuff that was on your skin This left my skin really glowy and smooth but I think the real test was my mum. I've been using Dermalogica Microfoliant almost everyday for a week or two so my skin is baby smooth anyway (I love that stuff!). But my mum uses a normal scrub (she says twice a week but really it's just whenever she remembers ). So we both used the Phytopeel and she absolutely loved it. It made her skin nice and soft and less grey looking (sorry mum! ).
I think this is a nice gentle exfoliating mask which would be suitable for even sensitive skins. YonKa has a similar product though I have not tried it. I know Ella Bache also has an exfoliating mask that is taken off by massaging your face but I've tried it before and it was really rough and you had to rub WAY too hard to get the stuff off (and it had a very strong alcohol smell). |

Dug up an old review of this mask
Just wondering if anyone else has tried it? I'm searching for a good clarifying mask. The only mask I'm using at the moment is Dr H rejuvenating mask, which literally does rejuvinate the skin and I absolutely love it, but I'm not sure if it actually draws out any impurities.
And while I'm on masks and Decleor, has anyone tried the herbal clay mask? Thanks! |

Phytopeel's more of a manual exfoliator, rather than a clarifier. I used it many years ago, but find that Epidermx II is much gentler (less rubbing) and very much more effective. |

You could use the phytopeel to exfoliate and clean the skin. Then follow with a mask - you could try Decleor's clay and herb mask. |

I have used the Decleor herbal clay mask, & I loved the scent but I didn't find it as effective as the Dr H clay mask, which is definitely my HG! If you're looking for a mask that really deep cleans I recommend the Dr H one. |

I really love Phytopeel, as Mabsy says you just 'stroke it off' and it is amazing how much dead skin is removed and how radiant your skin looks after using it. |

I'm wonderimg if it irritates my sensitive skin.
My skin is sensitive so I like wash-off mask than rubbing mask. |

I got this as my forum gift and I tried it twice so far. It leaves my face squeaky clean but I think I am not applying it right. I must have used too much b/c it was hard to rub and I was stretching my skin. I ended up rinsing it off with water. Next time I will apply a thin layer. Application is really tricky. |

My facialist uses this on me and she does apply a really thin layer. And she removes it a small section at a time so there's isn't too much rubbing and pulling. |

Another great product form Decleor. You have to let it dry a bit before you rub it off. I use a medium layer and let it absorb in for a few minutes. It rubs off really easily if it is not too wet. My skin is left smooth and clean. I apply Decleor Aroma Purete Instant Purifying Mask right after. The 2 work great together. I have normal/combination skin. |

I tried it again tonight with a thinner layer and I finally got the peeling action. I can't say I loved it-- I felt like I was pulling at my skin too much. But it did leave my skin feeling clean. I was hoping it would get rid of some of my flakes from JM Bioclear but I still have some on my cheeks.
I'll keep using it once or twice a week because it leaves my skin feeling extra clean. |

Though I like Decleor products a lot, but I somehow find Phytopeel a bit difficult to use.
I waited for 5 minutes before I started rubbing it off, but I just can't rub it off cause it's too sticky to be rubbed off. Then, I leave it a little longer until it becomes drier, and it turns out to be to dry to be able to rub off.
Getting frustrated and decided to stick back to my Phytomer Vegetal Peeling which rinses off without the need to rub off. |

try rubbing it off before it dries. So, don't wait for 5minutes. I find it easier to rub off when it is still a bit damp. |

it says to use the tonifying lotion to wipe off excess. do you guys do that? or do you simply rinse off excess with water? I wanted to try it but am a little hesitant because of the need to BUY another product (toner). I am using R & R toner from PSF and am happy with it and don't wish to spend more for similar product. What do you think? |

Clay and Herbal had changed formulation. It is now a white creamy mask. I actually prefer this newer version.
